  1. Watched Star Wars Ep 1 3D yesterday. Superb on the big screen- cinema was packed at lunchtime! Yeh, it's not the best, but worth watching for 3 scenes imho: the sea monsters/pod race/Maul vs Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan. My boys thought it was amazing. The 3D certainly isn't a selling point though. It added some nice depth, but sometimes you just couldn't tell. All the 'retro' 3D films I've seen have been like this (Clash of the Titans). Really isn't worth retro-fitting 3D IMHO. Filmed with proper 3D cameras like Avatar, and it works really well- thankfully The Hobbit & Prometheus are being filmed like this 8) . Me: 7/10 My boys: 'A million out of 10!'
  2. Fitted a new tensioner and drive belt (followed Jim's guide in the last Sprinter- thanks matey!). Nice to have an easy Corrado job for a change!

Hi mate, got one, but no where near cambridge! Let me know if you don't find one locally- happy to courier it to you.
  4. Got a pair of used scripted ones- great condition (now obsolete from VW). £30 posted.

    Hi!

    Hi and welcome! :)

    Hot hot hot vr6

Just run it up to temp with the reservoir cap off. Squeeze all the hoses to remove any airlocks. I would always change the stat before anything else!

Stat could be stuck closed. Once up to temp, are the top and bottom rad hoses the same temp? If there is a difference, then it's not opening properly. They should be different until the stat opens. Have you flushed it through thoroughly and changed the waterpump? Rad OK? Any airlocks? Sounds like there is a flow problem. Have you had it on vagcom to see if the actual temp matches the clock temp?
  8. I liked the prequels. 3 is superb and isn't too far off the originals IMHO. The other 2 are very patchy though. Both have some superb moments. 1 has long periods where nothing much happens and it all feels rather dry. 2 has some absolutely hideous acting and terrible script. The love stuff could've been handled sooooo much better. I always forward through those bits  Seeing Ep 1 in the cinema next week- not too worried about 3D, but it's a perfect opportunity to take my boys to see it on the big screen 8)
  9. Glad it's gone to a good home Darren :)
  10. Hangover pt 2: 2/10 utter garbage. Don't think I laughed once. Films like this seem to be relying more and more on trying to get laughs through sheer bad taste because the writers obviously aren't clever/witty enough to write something genuinely funny. Horrible Bosses: not much better than the above. Best thing was Jen ;) Also watched Return of the Jedi recently for the first time in years. Always been and Empire man myself, but really enjoyed it. 9/10
  11. Neil, I'll take the GB bearing plate and the fuel filter bracket. I'll give you a call on Monday 8)
  12. They're all the same mate. There is a a couple of mm adjustment to be had. Do the bolts up just enough so you can still move the lights for adjustment. When you're happy, tighten them properly. Shouldn't have a problem with standard lights, it's the aftermarket ones that don't line up very well.
  13. Go VW, Vibratechnics or an insert a la the recent group buy. I wouldn't buy rubber stuff from GSF/ECP/VW spares. False economy imho.
  14. Destroyed my v-belt tensioner. Quite hairy getting home without PAS, water pump and alternator!
  15. Looks very promising. Surely they'll produce a 'hotter' version at some stage though- just seems a little underpowered.
  16. Location: Gloucestershire Price: 25.00 GBP Date added to Classifieds: 10th Dec 2011 Description: I have an eyebrow spoiler made out of ABS plastic up for graps. It's in excellent condition and is sprayed Mystic Blue, although this can easily be changed by the buyer to match their car. Comes with fitment clips. £25 posted.
  17. Good job, Dave! Looks like a very neat install- worth taking your time with something like that. They really finish off the interior don't they? Love mine. What gearknob is that? Matches nicely 8)
  18. Well done, mate! Looks nice, with excellent spec too 8) Gotta be honest- not liking the V6 badge on the grille- late spec badges just don't suit the Rado IMHO. Minor gripe though- looking forward to more pics!
  19. Think you may still be able to get the rad cover from VW. Worth a shot- got a new 16v one last year.
  20. Ham? Seriously though- driver's side seat bolsters? Are the engine bay plastics still available (the 3 that hold the leads). Front indicators.
