  1. Easily the best fuel out there, 99 octane and 0% water residue in the fuel, I love it don't run the car on anything else and I never will, I think bp is only 97 octane and the same with esso iirc. Plus they supply ferrari so can't be all that bad!!! On a side note never ever ever ever use tesco fuel or sainsburys, asda etc they get all the dregs and I got a friend who works for them who's got plenty of horror stories! Shell also contains friction modification technology which protects internal engine parts and makes them perform better as it sort of lubes components to increase performance. Car runs like a dream on it!
  2. agreed the note change after 4k is lovely and it makes you SOUND like your going fast  +1 3rd gear at 4,000 revs sounds pretty damn sweet to me!!!
  3. fantastic reply buddy! yeah i think the vr6 lump is the way to go its a really good price aswell as the chap is moving house and needs it gone, i may possibly look to supercharge it too to give all out balls up fun! what do i need to do with regards too the loom? use the vr6 one and plug that into all the instruments etc as im guessing the 16v one wont be upto the mark.... again thanks for the reply, really was a great help and gave me some direction!
  4. Just thinking a few ideas over, can you remap a standard engine (well standard apart from filters and polished throttle body) I just want a bit more oomph below 4k revs, is there any point and could performance be made better? Also just a quick yes or no to the next bit....will a vr6 lump drop straight into a 16v engine bay (same mounts etc!!) Just been offered one at a really good price so might do that over the winter (I know I'll need better breaks and the radiator I think!?) Lol

  6. so people who work in petrol stations are cleverer than most but have yet to fulfil their potential? of course not by all accounts but i would expect there are a fair few. I've just finished uni and now have a degree but have to work in a petrol station whilst looking for a fulltime career to keep the money coming in and to be honest its humiliating enough working there without the pikeys and general public talking down to me too... i have a lot of friends who have also just graduated that are doing the same thing! P.s IF THERES ANYONE OUT THERE WHO WANTS TO GIVE ME A JOB THEN PLEASE DEAR GOD GET ME OUT OF THE PETROL STATON!!! im a graduate and want to work in property and eventaully become a property developer but im open to any job offer!!!
  7. thats amazing, cheers for the link to the video, may have to do this and see what happens with regards to my quest for an ultra smooth running engine...
  8. Cheers for the advice will get down to the local depot in the morning then as I got the morning off work!
  9. ...to stick on my rear view mirror? Its fallen off and i bought some halfords sticky tape stuff (purposely made for rear view mirrors) and it wasnt upto the job!? So what do you lot use to stick on the rear view mirror? never realised how much i used it until now when its not there!!
  10. clean your throttle body that might help? im not very good with sensors and stuff but im sure someone will give you a hand shortly!
  11. yeah i did think this also, haha. ill get some good oil in it at the weekend and take it from there, the filters and plugs are all new, well its smooth at them moment i think im just being gready wanting it silky smooth lol
  12. right today i cleaned out my throttle body as it was filthy and obviouslt hasnt been done since the cars been on the road  although the results are impressive, much better throttle response, pulls better and runs a lot smoother, i want to take things further... How can i make the engine run ultra smooth? its recently had a full service including cambelt so i know that way everything is ok, i just want it to run silky smooth. im thinking really expensive oil, to replace whatevers in there atm (would this make a much of a difference) I hope you get what im trying to say, i mean its not runnning badly or anything its runnign really well but i just want it too feel silky smooth... i hope ive explained myself ok and you get what im trying to say!
  13. you've miss understood, im not being touchy im just commenting on it. When correcting them im never nasty or obnoxious its always in a positive conversation surrounding cars. Its not like im saying "fuck off you twat can you not see its a corrado, it even says it on the back, idiot....." hahah although sometimes.....
  14. THIS IS AMAZING  no mate, this is not a scirocco or something like that.... absolutely brilliant idea!
  15. this is easy, get everything sorted mechanically and all aspects working with a full service before a respray, im quite sure 99% of people will agree.
  16. I can sympathise with this, because I work in a petrol station I'm automatically thick as shit it pisses me off so much, so next time you go to a petrol station don't talk down to them chances are they have more bewtween their ears than you do! I also didn't realise how badly people stink they literally stink so we have air freshner behind the desk lol I hate customer relations , most of them I want to punch in the face!
  17. Just graduated from university, got a 2.1 in politics, currently managing a shell petrol station whilst looking for a job in london to earn a decent amount so that I can get into property developing and eventually new builds. Most of my time is spent at work and messing around with the corrado but I also surf, ski, drum, play guitar and am really into extreme sports and getting huge adrenaline rushes! I also spend a lot of time with my girlfriend and am hoping to get a house with a garage asap!
  18. .....Its a corrado mate. some people lol so annoying when this happens, had it twice today!! Then this bloke started telling me about how he had driven the new corrado gt apparently it had a 2.0 fsi...I said wow you must work for vw then! He looked at me puzzled and said why, too which I replied they haven't made a corrado since the late 1990's!! :D
  19. Right im about to get paid for this month and as such thought it was about time to splash some cash on the c. As the engine seems to be running well (touch wood) i thought the steering and brakes could do with a refresh. I already have drilled and grooved brake discs all around but want to upgrade the pads and hoses, now do i go for either: A. EBC Green stuff pads (for fast road use) B. EBC Red stuff (suited for track but i thouht if there better on a track surely therel be better on the road too??) C. Other (which would you recommend) Also i would like to fit some stainess steel braided brake hoses (is there any particular manufacturer anyone would recommend, or is it just find the best i can afford on ebay type job) Also i would like to fit polybushes all around, can anyone recommend a good brand or again is it an ebay job as above? The car will be 95% road use and 5% track use (probably) if anyone could share their expertise that would be great :salute:
  20. lol im glad im not quite the only one, i just cleared my garage out for the sole reason of being able to get the car in their when its starts to snow in the winter, time to waxoil underneath me thinks!
  21. ....not drive there corrado when its raining!! its not that i dont want too, i really do, BUT..its just rained and if i drive it now it will get all dirty and its really clean atm! am i sad!? need to move to LA where it hardly ever rains then i could drive it all day 8)
  22. that is so badass! i wont be going 9's i dont think as iv only just got my borbets i think there the 7.5's so defo need some spacers to get the desired effect, stretched tyres at the end of the month (pay day) has anyone got any pics of stretched tyres on 7.5 wide rims? arches are already slightly rolled so ill be fine on that front just need to wind down the coilies and get the wheels poking out the sides! Thanks for the info buddy massive help! Did you use a rotary to get your paint like that cos it looks epic!
  23. i pretty much want the stance that the rado in your sig has, that looks so mean and knarly! how did you go about it? same as me (coilies and spacers) or different?
  24. thought twice about all that and ended up buying some light compounding gunk from the "profesional" range that turtle wax do and to be fair it worked pretty well, i think i got most of the swirls and light scratches out my bonnet finally and now its buffed looks the same colour as my newly sprayed front wings and bumpers! not bad at £9 a pop either although takes a lot of elbow grease to work out once youve applied it and that was even using a da machine!
  25. Okay so what about the scratch remover they do!? Its on the same page as that advert? May be good to get rid of swirls?
