CTR EP3 vs VR6 off the lights, who wins? On paper I would say it quite literally comes down to driver skill? What do you think?

Ho hum. Had a spare hour so just been messing with the C. It has to be said that I'm definitely a fair weather fettler! Does anyone know if its possible to get replacement outer lower window seals/scrapers? I think I've sorted the leaking doors but now the rain has let up I probably won't find out for certain until I replace the carpet and it rains.

I purchased a wardrobe from Ikea at the weekend and was pretty cross when I realised I couldn't get it in the daily (a Clio) and had to pay £60 to get it delivered. I'm sure I could fit the last thing I purchased (a book case - roughly the same size), in the same car. Question is, would I have got it in the C? The biggest of 3 boxes was just short of 2 meters long and about 75cm wide.

Hmm, my VR didn't have a VR6 badge on the back and no obvious markings to suggest it ever did.

The stance here looks spot on! Is that with the back raised?

Looks sick man! What's the spec of the new rims?

For me, the water came in at the top of the windscreen in the corner on the passenger side. The difficulty in tracking it was caused by how the water was flowing once it was inside the car. I couldn't see it, but eventually discovered that it was flowing down the inside the A pillar to behind the dash (god knows where it went next) but it ended up looking like it was coming from behind the dash. After spending out to get the windscreen fixed I also discovered that one of the weather seals was fubar so make sure you do ALL the cheap/free jobs before paying out on the screen.

Looking good chief! Looks soooooooo much better! I still need to get my ass down to the 'stoke for a meet so you aren't the sole Corrado representative!

Dilemma on how best to sell my Corrado, suggestions please?

I don't believe it needs to be taxed as you can't buy tax without an MOT. So as long as it is insured and the MOT is prebooked, you're good to go. -

I know it won't make you feel any better but I bought a Corrado in exactly the same state as yours is currently in for £500 3 years ago. At that time they had better valueas well. Sent from my HTC Desire -
Buy a Corrado and fit a diesel. There are a few conversions on here and if you have the time and space then I get the impression they are worthwhile! Sent from my HTC Desire

I will photograph what I have as well. It's at my mums house so I can't do it until probably Thursday.

Is it just the green bulb your after or the unit that it goes in? I think I have a green bulb spare...

Don't suppose this detailer posts on DW does he? I love to seeing any Corrado detailing but it doesn't come up that often!

Motorcycle and/or wiring experts, some advise please
OllieVR6 replied to OllieVR6's topic in Off-topic Chat
Yes it does, and no they are well out of tolerance. They are next on the list after confirming the coils are powered. Never seen points in action before, really simple yet really cool stuff! -

I'm looking forward to finding out :) It's not staying though, just got it for this event. We had to buy a motorcycle of less than 250CC for less than £400. This cost me £310 so I'm trying to get it running for nothing, I think there is points for being under budget. We have to ride them to Lands End and back in April! -

Thanks mate, I had a feeling you would provide awesome info! 1977 :D It's a Honda CJ250T, parallel twin and it only has a kick start. No spark at the plugs but I have confirmed the battery is good and there is a live +12V getting to the ignition switch. -
Hi folks, I have recently purchased an (old) non-running motorbike for a charity event. I'm pretty sure the problems I'm having starting it are electrical issues and I suspect the ignition switch is the problem. My first question is about the wiring table for ignition switch. Can someone explain how I read this table please? This is how I read it:In position 1 two contacts are made, 'B' and 'IGN' then 'TL1' and 'TL2'. In position 2 'B' and 'TL2' are connected. So assuming position 2 is the final turn of the key, what happens to 'IGN' and 'TL1'? Are they not being bypassed? I have attached the full diagram if you want to have a look. What I want to do is bypass the switch altogether to prove/disprove the switch is a problem, is this possible?

Ooh I want one. I just need to pay for something else then I'll be in touch!

That sounds brilliant however, the stereo in the car is being replaced as we don't have the code for it (the one in the manual doesn't work) so we cant turn it on :(

Looking for CD player for my mums old car ('99 Seat Ibiza). I'm not bothered what make or model as long as it works (needs the harness and no jumping/skipping) and it needs to be cheap. Considering I can walk into Halfords and get something new for £40 it needs to be less than that delivered. Can collect within reasonable distance of GU21. Let me know what you got! Cheers, Ollie.

I used making tape once and took paint off! As seen in this picture just above the roof strip. Sent from my HTC Desire

Classic Parts - What shall we bulk buy next?

For me the list is: Roof strips Exterior window scraper seals Radiator Bolsters And the list is growing! Sent from my HTC Desire -
Hasan, thanks for the offer mate! I managed to get the handle off but I broke it lol. I'm going to see what I can make as a repair to hopefully not have to replace it and make it easier to remove in future but keep it secure. I tried the lever method with a screw driver and whilst it makes sense, the screw driver kept slipping and taking bits out of the lug. Was I doing it wrong? Sent from my HTC Desire
