Polyurethane VR6 front and rear engine mounts inc Fitting Guide
OllieVR6 replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Just a quick question....I'm sure I read somewhere that stainless shouldn't be used in load bearing applications. Are the included bolts stainless, and if they are, will they be ok for this job? I'm sure I have no reason to, but I did just want to double check. EDIT - NVM found the answer: -

Mine just arrived. Thanks very much Jay! I will be waiting for warmer weather before I fit them. -
I've got a leak from the cooling system that appears completely random. From what I can tell there is no pattern as to when it will leak and when it wont. I have had the car parked in the garage recently and next to the tiny oil patch that appears on floor (that I know about) is a small coolant patch. The oil patch is coming from the filter housing, so I'm hoping I might be able to use this info to locate the coolant leak. If you imagine looking at the patches as if you were standing in front of the car, the oil is on the left and the coolant on the right. They are in line with each other and about 2cm apart. Crack pipe maybe? I have checked the thermostat housing and it doesn't line up. Having written this I'm thinking I might need to take some pictures?

I very much enjoyed that. The Noble was my favorite, especially in black!

I like this idea and having just stripped an old immobilizer I know exactly which wires could be spliced into to cut the power to the coil and the fuel pump....

Those two parts in the pictures plus a leather gear knob was about £100 I think :( I will find the paper work and double check!

I still haven't been able to remove this, from those pictures it looks more like you should push down on the top of the handle at back? I can't see from here what that bottom clip is clipping on to.

I work in Woking just up the road from McLaren HQ and see these cars all the time. They must use them when they pop to town to buy lunch haha! Occasionally I see cars that are obviously McLaren but all covered in stickers and stuff to 'hide' it, never have a camera handy tho :(

Quick reminder, new Top Gear starts this Sunday 8pm BBC2!

I might be wrong but I'm sure when I did my matrix, one of the two scuttle bolts was spinning so I couldn't undo the nut (this was a couple of years ago so I might be remembering incorrectly). For that reason it might be worth having a second pair of hands about to help with these ones.

How to: Open a stuck door

Yeah man, don't let rage get you, you know you will regret it afterwards! It isn't easy to do, especially if you can't really see. It helps to be inside the car with the window open, then shine a torch down the gap and have a good look before you jam a coat hanger in the gap. ---------- Post added at 02:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:20 PM ---------- Wait a sec....just looking at the first picture again I've noticed something. I'm just making a small change. Ok, see the blue bits in this picture, the part on the left is the part you need to hook up, and part on the right is just to highlight the 'hammer' that strikes when you pull the door handle. Hope this helps! -
Not sure if it helps, but it just happened when I tried to upload some photos. I tweeted Andy but just thought I would mention it...Not sure if I should retry my uploads now?

Well I bought a handbrake handle, the plastic bit from behind it and a new gear knob from the dealers and all in it was over £100 so I really don't want to break it :( I had to walk away in the end, I was getting rage!

Sorry the huge bump but aarrrgggghhhhhhh! I've tried everything suggested in this thread and the ****ing thing won't budge. My fingers are busted!

Oh man, I saw this on e38 just a couple of days ago and nearly bought some rota drifts for my C there and then! Desperate to see those wheels on C, look sick on your S3!

Just a quick one. I'm looking into ambient lighting options and wondered if anyone has already done something similar? Here are some images that show what I would like to achieve: What is key for me is that this must not be even slightly 'chavvy'. I either need to get this right or not bother. As with any aftermarket mod, I appreciate this wont be to everyone's tastes.

Oh I didn't know this process had a name. I noticed Kev Haywires car (I think) had this and so when I last had the headlights off I did it, love how it looks! I just painted it with hammerite satin black.

Probably but it will look awful :(

Ooh yes sorry. I hadn't done an update because I want to take some pictures but I can do that later. Collected the car on Saturday, and I've already said it but the customer service was amazing, I said to them that if they opened a body shop I'd be coming straight back haha! I seriously encourage anyone in the area to go here if you can make the trip, definitely worth a bit of extra petrol and if you let me know you're going I'll pick you up or something :) The total cost was £250, for that they removed the screen (in one piece), repaired the rust (they said it was minor), painted the area which had to be left to dry over night and then refitted the screen, again I think they left this overnight, all cleaned up and looking as good as new. They didn't have to replace any of the rubber trim parts or the metal bits down each side so there was no extra cost there. On a side note they gave me a really good quote in case I did need a new screen which was £185 +VAT, I thought that was pretty fair. I haven't soak tested it yet but I am certain this is a 100% fix, you can just tell by looking at it that they have done a fantastic job, from the inside you can see a nice big universally applied layer of bonding all the way around. When driving the car before (especially after fitting the coilovers) you could hear the screen creaking and cracking along the top edge where it was moving around slightly. On the drive home this was completely eliminated and aside from the lack of interior it was smooth, quiet and just lovely. I'm pretty sure it even made the car feel more stable. I will be soak testing in the next few days and I'll take some pictures at the same time.

I wouldn't say I'm 'into' knives but we did get a nice set for Christmas (Judge Sabatier) which I was told were expensive, although now that I have checked, Amazon appears to disagree ^^

A Corrado to put it in? :D

Not all pressed plates are illegal. I got some from Dubmeister and I love em :) http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/webshop/uk-legal-pressed-metal-plates/uk-legal-plates/
