How about, when you make a perfectly safe and legal over take of a 'middle-man' and then they flash you and shake their fists at you......I mean really. Get over YOURSELF. Wow I'm sounding like a really angry driver.....hmm maybe I am :x
-
I stopped doing this for precisely this reason. I just barge through now....so apologies in advance if I ever do that to anyone here
-
Oooh another one....people that get angry at you when SOMEONE ELSE beeped their horn at them. Happened to me the other day, the guy was about to get out his van then he realised someone else was beeping at him and not me.....I was ready for a rumble!
-
These are people that I like to call 'middle men' they do 40mph EVERYWHERE irrelevant of the speed limit. You will also find these people doing 60 in the middle lane of all motor ways irrelevant of circumstances.

Do you have the locking one under a 'cover'? This is why I like display a locking nut on each wheel....mostly it should stop an opportunist.

vr6 storm... bargain or not(UPDATED 14TH OCT)
OllieVR6 replied to VR6 Lee's topic in General Car Chat
Just had a look at the other thread, the story looks completely genuine and quite heart warming really. Hope you've got a good one but even if it needs some work I think it'll be worth it. I'll be looking forward to seeing it back in to the hands of a Corrado enthusiast! -
Hi mate, welcome to the forum. Lovely example you've got there! You must be local, where abouts are you?

Hi mate, I haven't heard from you....do we need to send PM's? -
sorry, was that at me? If so, no it is a 'standard' Diavia retrofit, but people sell kits for around £200. PM Tandino, as he's installed one in his car (that he's now sold i believe) Ok mate, thanks!
-
Don't do it. Put it in the garage for a few months and not spend money on it. Then do a search for "VR6" on you tube and be reminded how awesome these engines are and what you could do with it!! ;)
-
Ooooh that Rocco is yours...I've seen that aboot!
-
Did you retro fit it? Is it hard to do? How about costs?

I like the sound of the TDI....I'm not in to the rat look but each to their own. I'm interested in doing a TDI conversion on another C once my VR is done, so take lots of photos/notes please :D

Go back to Vortex!

I've done a bit of digging about this car in the past, weirdly found a bit more this time! The team ZRP website is gone, I guess they are another victim of the recession. I believe this guy owned the car - http://www.youtube.com/user/lbsohk - looks like he has moved on to a BMW, but there are 4 short videos of the Corrado there. This is his myspace (more pictures of the car): http://www.myspace.com/lbsohk/photos/albums/album/0 EDIT - More searching - And because I dont want to look like a stalker, just go have a look on vortex forums, the guys username is lbsohk, there is loads about his car there.

You are a bit small?

Don't pay for them. They are free if you know where to look (it's not dodgy or anything), but legally you aren't allowed to post links and stuff because of copyright.

I dunno dude, I like to think everyone appreciates everyones motors on here - I mean there is a few that have loads of money spent on them sure, and a lot that kinda haven't, but I think this forums quite easy going in that respect and understands people's finanical limits/experience etc! I mean I haven't got BBS' and I've had a few compliments :) And the only serious money I invested in my car was the initial purchase and suspension, which I still haven't paid for  I think on this forum everyone has their own opinions, and that is great IMO. You got the OEM people, the 'scene' people, then there's OEM+, all go no show, etc etc. Such a great mix, but best of all you don't get all the stupid/offensive/flaming comments that are prevalent on other forums for not conforming to the latest fashion. I love this car, I think it's OEM+ and it is basically how I want my car to be - minus a turbo :D

Top stuff. *adds to ever growing list of things to do*
-
Looks nice mate, now you just need to get that 1.8t in there ;) White Corrados are sexy! Late bonnets bulge in the middle where early ones sink slightly. I personally prefer the late one, I think it makes the car look meaner.
-
I can't imagine there are many cars that could fetch back what you would pay in maintenance and repairs, not even modern cars. I don't spend much at the mo, not as much as I would like anyway, but hopefully that will start to change soon!

I really like the colour coded roof strips. I have often wondered about this myself but have always been worried that too much colour coding can look naff, but I really like that. Could you take a picture from the front of the roof so I could see from a different angle? If it's no bother! Did you have any problems with them being flexible? Flakey paint etc?

I have seen this before on other forums and I think its a great idea. A printable calling card you can just leave under a windscreen wiper or something. It would be cool if someone with photoshop skills could make something up.
