  1. Check out the thread about turbos that Vince at stealth is doing. They are for VR's but they might be able to accommodate you as well, although I'm not sure you can safely turbo your engine without replacing internals.....But there are a LOT more knowledgeable people on here than me so best wait for them :)
  2. People ask about these all the time, but I don't think anyone has tried one yet. I think general opinion is low, but a few people have said it might be fun to chuck one on an old passat or something, just to see how long it lasts. Personally I'd stay well clear and either do it properly or not at all :)
  3. If my numbers came up, I'd buy that in a flash then rag the nuts off it (after I'd worn it in  ). Cars are for drivin'!!
  4. Looks awesome - do want! How much does it weigh?
  5. You need to go and check out the 'post the best pic of your car' thread - get some inspiration :D
  6. I bought 4 last time but think I'll order 4 more for 'spares'
  7. They are angled afaik. You can buy both (I believe) from that ARZ Tuning website but they are expensive.
  8. Done - Sorry I clicked EDIT first :X - What was the map called? I'll change it back!
  9. I spotted a green valver at McDonald's farnborough gate.....about now lol :)
  10. This is a 50/50 picture taken with my new work lights to show the results. Also testing out tapatalk on my phone :) Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
  11. If you ever search for an audio product they tend to pop up high on google and have competitive prices. A friend of mine got a some vibe speakers and an amp from there which arrived in good time etc.
  12. Nice one chaps. I think I'll go down this route, suits my ideas for the car much better anyway, as I only wanted the audioscapes because they were so OEM. I'm after something good quality, not just loud and boomy. Think audiophile not clubber. Suggestions welcome but I'm thinking of ditching the rear speakers and having some components run through an amplifier at the front with the tweeters mounted in the OEM tweeter position.
  13. This is definitely the best forum in terms of quality of users I have ever used and the best over all. I have also found that other forums for slightly specialist vehicles (I'm talking about my old NC30) tends to attract quality rather than quantity in general.
  14. I've recently picked up a good HU, can I get away with spending some money on some good speakers and make use of the standard holes?
  15. Well I haven't tried but looks like you can still buy them new (although their website is down...again) but they are/were pricey! I'd be up for having a go at building my own, but I'd want a spare set of oem pods to do it on first and they seem pretty rare as well.
  16. And the pods are rare as rocking horse shit. I've been looking for some for weeks now!
  17. Hey mate. Every time I see this thread your car gives me huge inspiration! Such a lovely example, I really admire the OEM+ look you have achieved (intentional or not). I love the speedies, but as said above the green/gold look is also really good, tough choice!! I've been back through to have a look but I can't seem to find the info, have you got 288's on the front and mk4 callipers with standard carriers on the rear? Going for red callipers was the right decision IMO, they look amazing in the video drive-by posted above!
  18. Cries...I also have a puddle in my rear passenger foot well :( It's going to take forever to dry!! I will be doing my foliage seal now, then I think I'll checking ALL the car drainage, really cba with going through this everytime it rains. When I had the carpet out for a wash and dry after the matrix went it took a week to dry it and it was middle of summer!
  19. whats the razor blade option? You use a razor blade to cut away the perished rubber that normally makes the strips look tatty after its cracked. If you wanted to go a step further you would then sand it as well. If they are faded, bit of paint and they can look new, probably get both done on a sunny Sunday :)
  20. I've driven mine less then a dozen times in 1.5 years :(
