  1. When I unlock my Clio (from the remote) the interior light comes on. It stays on for 30 seconds or so and then fades out. You can get boxes that will provide the fade out functionality on the internet, the bit I want is the 'on with unlock'. I have a right click keyless kit installed so I would imagine I can tap into the unlock signal from that, but that's about as much as I can work out. Would it be a relay to the interior light to make it come on? Really wishing I had paid more attention in electronics class now!
  2. Mark, also check out http://www.thephirm.co.uk/ before you decide. I've not used them personally but heard good stuff!
  3. Happy Birthday bud! Car's looking great, I'd LOVE a turbo, very envious!
  4. I don't envy that!
  5. I have been wanting something like this for months, thanks for the link looks like a great bit of kit and that price :suprised::suprised:
  6. Adding little to this thread but I would assume that removing weight from the front, specifically the bonnet and wings is going to help reduce under steer?
  7. I'll add "did it have roof bars" to my list of standard questions :)
  8. Bill just noticed we have the same colour and both in Surrey, wonder if your the person my mates keep seeing and then saying to me "were you in XX place today? Maybe someone stole your car!". Lol.
  9. As my slam panel is off the car I was looking at these at the weekend and wondering if they can be removed, cleaned and painted?
  10. I'm not familiar with the advise you have received or why you hung out at a petrol station for the 3 hours lookin for Corrados  you'll be lucky to see 10 in a whole year of driving! Is this is a wish list thread? Money no object? In terms of factory spec I'd want a late black VR, manual, electric leather recaros and all the toys, aircon, cruise control and so on. If your talking about the 'ultimate' Corrado, for me it would be a turbo'd R36 4motion with all the above listed toys!
  11. I got one of these http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_173083_langId_-1_categoryId_255215 last Christmas and it's literally the best tool kit I've ever had. Every job I do requires something from this. My only gripe is the spanners don't go big enough so I need to invest in a set of spanners that are the next size up. It's on the shopping list :) I like the look of the drawer liners, I don't want to replicate my current problem which is a bunch of tool boxes with varying tools all over the place, but just in drawers instead. I need the chests to be organised.
  12. As you all say, anything can be made to fit but I was hoping it might bolt straight in. Either way, I can't see it being too hard. daves16v, I'm in no rush so might wait and see, something else I read online was they're quite small and a lot of glasses don't fit. This is something else I'd be interested to know. Stuey might be able to answer?
  13. I'm looking to invest in a tool chest, maybe two and I want to know what to look for when buying. I can't afford to spend loads but I HAVE to do something about the mess, I spend 50% of all the time doing jobs on the car, look for the right tool. Halfords do some affordable chests, are they any good?
  14. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-VW-Golf-Mk4-Bora-Sunglasses-Holder-/370385862400?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item563cb7bf00 Would be a nice addition.
  15. I couldn't get anything off the original rad. It was either broken or welded in with rust.
  16. It did, I got some help from dad, it wasn't really a one man job. Sadly we broke the locating lug that fits into the securing piece at the other end but that doesn't seem to be a problem. I'll find out tomorrow if it leaks! ---------- Post added at 9:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:36 PM ---------- It's a much bigger job than I anticipated, made longer by the normal, 'somethings broken' and 'might as well do this whilst I'm at it'. You can strip down the bumper, slam panel, radiator and the cooling parts in a couple of hours but putting it all back takes a lot longer. I've probably invested £600 and at least 30 hours so far.
  17. Well motivation is waning. Got as far as putting the new rad on and refilling with fluid, also refilled the pas fluid. It was dark, the battery was flat and I'd been out in the cold for 6 hours. Photos tomorrow.
  18. Cheers Jon. The block is a tad rusty so I think that must be the problem. I'll have another go tomorrow.
  19. I have been out in the rain trying to fit the new crack pipe today but can't seem to get it to go in properly at the water pump end. The new o ring is making it very tough. Is there a trick to it? I don't want to break it!

On the radio this morning they said it was supposed to be 11.11 this morning although they didn't mention which time zone. Anyway, I'm still here and thankfully so is my Corrado so back to garage for some more fixing!
