1. Bcaus i`ll mak a tru concours on..!!! lol
2. Hi mate, I'll take the uprated headlight loom please.
3. You should be careful about that. I'm not hot with electrical stuff but I think doing that will put more current through the loom and be a penitential fire hazard. I'm sure one of many electronic oracles will correct me if I'm wrong.
4. Also, if you are doing the rad support, there are some sticky pads here that I couldn't see: When I picked it up from the painters, they pointed out that they had melted in the oven which is a pain.
5. I chose not to do the cross member because it's in pretty good condition and I don't have the tools to remove and replace the bushes. I took the bits in the photo (as well as the brace that secures the splitter to the bumper) without doing any prep so where they have been blasted you can see in the photos some pitting left behind. It didn't actually cross my mind to prep it before hand, smoothing it as well will be a nice touch.
6. If you look at number 35 in the following image, how do you tell how many is required/used? I'm sure if you go to the dealers they can tell you, but looking at this image I think you need one. Looking at my new rad, I think I need two (one per side). http://www.jimellisvwparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=744197&ukey_make=1066&ukey_model=15552&modelYear=1994&ukey_category=21729&ukey_trimLevel=18933 Any tips?
7. Well I have the blue sender in front of me. With my multimeter set to ohms (20k) I get no reading at all from it. Dead? I do get a reading across 2 pins from my yellow sensor but not the other 2, is this also dead?
8. I really want to do my inlet manifold and rocker cover satin black but I'm really stretching the budget this close to Christmas anyway. I figure I can get them off at a later date without taking the front off so maybe in January. I am however tempted to do the belt tensioner and alternator cover now as I have really good access. Bit nervous about dismantling a working alternator though. Are you getting any parts powder coated? I wasn't going to but the rad support was still 'savable' and I've seen plenty that are too far gone so it would have been daft not to do it.
9. I'm sure every MG owner I have ever met has said they've had the HG go at some point. You'd think they would do something about it!
10. My VR does this, I believe it's normal. Whilst the stalk is held in you get both dipped and high beam when you let go, dipped goes off and your left with just high beam.
11. Got a couple of bits shot blasted and powder coated. This 'radiator replacement' job is getting pretty expensive!
12. No, they are flat, but a round one should do the job (so I'm told..literally just fitted a normal one myself).
13. I found a thread briefly explaining how you test these but I'm useless with a multimeter. I put the multimeter on ohms (not sure if it matters which one) and got a reading for my black sensor but my blue sensor doesn't give a reading and of the four pins on the yellow sensor I only get a reading on two pins not the other two. Also my blue sensor is black (the sensor not the plug) with a blue ring on it, is that correct? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Sent from my HTC One X
14. I know it's a long shot but does anyone have a spare yellow mount? I got a set from the original group buy and fancy fitting the softer part. Happy to swap for a red one!
15. So today I have mostly been doing this.... So that I can fit my new radiator! What's this pipe for?
16. This is called shill bidding and will get you and anyone involved banned from ebay. It's also a pet hate of mine and I report anyone who I think might be doing it!! http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/seller-shill-bidding.html

18. Windsor is fine, would it be in the evening? I'm not sure about the wiring, I'd have to get a new HU to use this anyway, mine only has 1 pre-out and it's already in use. Do you have a link for the wiring?
19. I'm in Farnborough, what would be a fair half way? :)
20. Thanks RW1. I'm all for a bargain but that's just too cheap! I've coughed up now anyway :)
21. Yeah, I should have been doing that for the last few months. The time has come and I need the parts now :(
22. I don't know if anyone from here works at or has links to VW Heritage, but if you do, I have just been talking to Josh on the 'live chat' team and he was awesome! Here is our chat transcript: So yeah, short and sweet but what a jolly nice chap!
23. Yuk, just got off the phone to my local stealer! Current prices for some parts (ex VAT): Fan switch - 24.85 Crack pipe - 20.88 Crack pipe seals - 2.42 (each) Thermostat - 22.91 Housing - 31.03 Housing seals (x3) - 3.87, 2.42, 3.36 Sensor seals - 1.20 The three sensors (yellow, blue, black) were between 25 and 35 each so I didn't even write the prices down!! ---------- Post added at 12:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:52 PM ---------- Loads of Corrado part numbers return T4 transporter 2.8 parts on VW heritage, if the part number is the same, the part is the same isn't it?
24. Don't suppose you ever happen to be in or around Surrey do you?
