  1. hello there have you got a tool to check the voltage at the headlights? not that is really matter as I would imagine that you are suffering from the usual standard headlight loom function - such that the voltage has to travel from the battery to the dash headlight switch & then back to the lights themselves. this results in a less than satisfactory voltage at the lights themselves & as such you get candles for headlights the easy fix is to get yourself a headlight loom upgrade & some better headlight bulbs the loom upgrades are an easy install, but make sure you don't get an ebay special as they tend to be inferior, & essentially re-route the voltage so as it doesn't go to the dash switch & thus the lights get the full 12v+ the need these are popular now that some other users no longer make them on this forum..... http://www.rayneautomotive.co.uk/corrado/25-uk-spec-corrado-uprated-headlight-loom-.html?search_query=corrado&results=2&cate= personally I have a KUR2Y uprated loom (he used to make & sell them on here) & use ring xenon ultima bulbs
  2. I see - thanks that what I was guessing not sure from memory if the one I have has a twist or not - will check tonight
  3. pretty sure I have a good quality one in my workshop - I can check tonight, take a pic & let you know tomorrow if you want? what do you mean by plain stem? EDIT - just in case.....I got a nice stubby plain stem one from my local motor factors for less than a tenna ;)
  4. switchable is definitely the first place to look then just in case you haven't one to hand, rado fuse box diagram... http://forums.kilometermagazine.com/showthread.php?4690182-94-SLC-fusebox-diagram Oh & scotch eggs with runny yolk!? Pls divulge on such treats?
  5. would the switchable live not feed from the ignition switch? thus giving you a starting point as if the cars starts then the source has the correct feed & it is failing somewhere along the line
  6. that is an odd one - you obviously have a working switchable live somewhere else you would be getting ignition problems I would check fuses but also try & trace the switchable live to see if it has a break in it somewhere I believe it is ok to put both feeds together but the disadvantage of doing so would be that your stereo will be permanently on & as such could be a drain on the battery
  7. worth trying swapping the permanent & switchable live over normally when a stereo loses settings after being turned off it is due to such however, unsure why it would sometimes not turn on with ignition & sometimes not
  8. cracking idea wendy - we can all customise lol
  9. take a look here m8 http://www.liquidleather.com/ the kits they do here is meant to be the daddy of leather seat treating / conditioning / restoring

  15. favourite - thanks sanky
  16. again, cracking info thank you im currently running standard calipers with EBC USR disc & green stuff pads all round & thinking of going for the red stuff pads next time the hispec sound like a good option to get better braking but retain the speedlines - I have no idea when I could stretch funds to bigger wheels to fit brembo's for example
  17. tidy! thank you kindly for your replies 1 last if I may - how do you find them in comparison to the old standard brake setup?
  18. sorry, I did mean just the size of the rotor in terms of standard ive had a look at their site & can see they do options for rotor size have you any idea if when using a 280mm rotor they will fit behind 15" speedlines?
  19. good feedback thanks dragon did you increase rotor diameter or do they fit onto standard size VR discs?
  20. many thanks Yan I will keep this info in mind. I keep seeing hispec pop up quite often & wheeler dealers had some made & fitted to one of the cars they did
  21. drop daves16v a PM in the supplier section & see if he has any built & ready sometimes he has one or two in stock with a decent dremel it shouldn't take long to fit & it makes a very positive improvement in gear selection
  22. sorry m8 I couldn't resist the question / tease lol good man though, im sure it will be fun taking anything down the strip have you got a short shifter fitted so as to avoid any possible 2nd to 3rd issues? lol
  23. HiSpec 4 pots, nice do you mind asking from where & how much Yan? thanks
