VR6 Aux Water Pump Question (when should it be running..)
g0ldf1ng3r replied to Jim's topic in Engine Bay
that is a good question Jim I have never tried the sequence you mention but I can not see any logic in the aux pump only running on the first turn of the key after reconnecting the battery as you say I thought it would always run if ignition is on or if the engine temps tell it to after use & the key is removed I am in the VR today so can not test straight away but I can do so when I swap the cars over when I get home tonight & let you know I have the feeling for needing some decent power on the way to work tomorrow lol -
ouch ive just gone all queasy!!
-
thanks Tan seriously I have all fingers & toes crossed for you! I kinda watched this build happen as it was being done at stealth whilst mine was there
-
ahhh so plans are being made, good man!! if my VR & valver had a few things completed on them then they would have been advertised. my gf was telling me to buy it, buy it now lol after many hours pondering it is not the right time at all for me & it would be a daily - which im a tad unsure about if it would be very feasible. very sad I am :( lol
-
again, personally, I use event tires online as they are extremely well priced & they fit at your work or home however, I do also know that lots of people here use Mr Lobitos. send him a PM & he will reply with options. only issue is you then have to take them somewhere for fitting oh & PS - bagsie 1st passenger ride at our meet when it happens!! lol
-
have you news to share Tan? I saw your PM post ;) hope you have! I thought long & hard about if I could or not personally I would always go with a bridgestone m8 but then I don't do any track stuff seriously good in the dry & have strong side walls which lots of other tires dont

every day is a school day! I didn't take german all those years ago but chuggs you are indeed correct blackberry in german is Brombeere im glad I can just call it blackberry now lol
-
I think it depends where you look Jim Apologies I misspelt, it is Brombeer metallic this forum paint code page lists Blackberry Metallic* ---------------------LK4Z --------------------94 - 95 * = Bramble to VW but if you google search for the LK4Z paint code it comes up as Brombeer http://www.paintscratch.com/touch_up_paint/Volkswagen/1994-Volkswagen-Corrado-Bromberr-Metallic-Clearcoat-LK4Z-S4.html If you go to Halfords for example & ask for paint code LK4Z they list it as Brombeer also, I know this as I brought a small amount there a long time ago & they mix it there & then for you
-
True Goldie Bramber metallic is the official blackberry name

indeed there are quite a few of us in the same kind of area unfortunately I have only just learnt of a classic meet taking place this evening in stratford upon avon at the museum - way too late notice for me & other I would imagine however, I will speak to my friend who told me of it & also have a google to see if they are regular I know that for Cov, leamington & myself stratford is only half hour ish away how would it be for you Tan? & others? im thinking maybe we could all do the next meet if there is one
-
thanks Tan, very much appreciated

punt-astic!!

yeah poor wayne! he seems such a nice person it makes me feel bad what he has gone through that said he did fix a hell of a lot & had lots of tenacity
-
they are certainly the kind of car a person falls in love with lol I have just got it back on the road & freshly MOT'd but am waiting for the mechanics bill at present, it had a hell of a lot of parts renewed! thus unsure until I get said bill but probably around the 2K mark or maybe a little above I would say to you it is better wait & to save enough money to get a good one rather than jump at one which could end up costing you a fortune. wayne I apologise now but Scanderson take a look at the VR6 in Yorkshire thread in members gallery for an example of what I mean
-
hmmm now that is a good question I think possibly giving up the VR & valver for a VRT monster could make it worth it though I would probably remove the Kamei skirts first that said, I do smile every time I see the valver on the drive again lol
-
nice m8. I still remember going to collect my 1.8 for the first time all those years ago I could be tempted to part with it for the right kind of money
