not a rado related update but thought I would share as I was just a little excited last night after the arrival of a package in the post I have had the below in storage for many years now but it has always bugged me that I had lost one part somewhere, & it just had to be the easily lost & now very rare part having watched the values of others out there I would have the occasional hunt on the bay over the years but only only ever find the part I was missing listed on sales for complete items, until last week..... what once was lost is now found :D

sorry m8 i ran out of time at the aquatics place as they didn't have any jumbo rats & i had to get them to make an order for some i will get the pic up tomorrow but yes either K or M i think K as i am pretty sure the blue with white stripe is the amp remote wire as i mentioned -

sounds good be excellent to get someone else's direct comparison & thoughts :) -
that is a good price i think mine were £600 but that was nearly 6 years ago the £999 for V2's seems good - though the V3's are £50 cheaper at awesomegti ;)

i suppose it would save you 150 notes for some new bridgestones if you used the Michelins but then if they are that new they could be sold on ebay maybe to recoup some money my VR had Michelin exalto's (i think) on it when i brought it but i only run RE002's now. from memory they were pretty good in the dry but definitely not as good as the RE002's in the wet. their performance seemed to drop a little as they wore down & the wear rate was faster than the bridgestone. i got nearly 16K out of the RE002's ive just taken off the front -

no danger m8 i can pull my soy out & have a look for you when you say block - is it block which connects the factory loom to the block that goes to the stereo & the location of the blue/white wire in that block? or the end which actually plugs into the back of the stereo -
no m8 they are a variety the coolant hoses differ in diameter & as such require different sized spring clamps if you have the OEM hoses currently with OEM clips it should be possible to reuse them however, as per VAG-hag mentions, i too have not personally experienced an issue with the product specific clips brought from roose
-
might have been me m8 only issue with jubilee's was with the hose that connects to PCV - which OEM uses a one time crimp use clip rather than the constant tension clips on the other hoses

my front drive is like the O.K. Corral many nights a week due to 3 cats that live in surrounding houses. their territory paths must crossover & we regularly hear then ripping chunks & fur out of each other. I try to scare them off to stop them hurting each other but also when they are around the feeders similar to the pigeons, I don't want to harm the cats but they are a nuisance. i did get a nerf gun but super soaker is the way forward i think lol plus I still cant quite figure out if all of the very fine scratches on my VR bonnet is from cat claws or not but it is covered
-
m8 at times it is wild & uncontrollable ;) lol I do have about 300 yards of hedgerows though, as they line both front & back gardens hard work to maintain them but well worth it for all of the bird wildlife we get. the amount of birds nesting in them & the 2 feeders we have in close proximity are almost constantly in use we have regularly see a lesser spotted woodpecker, a green woodpecker, a bull finch & last week 2 pairs of long tail tits arrived I just need a decent super soaker to keep the pigeons & local cats away lol

is that the 'remote' wire? so as to switch an amp on when the head unit is turned on - thus no amp, no need -
indeed i must remember this year to not waste 4 of those days trimming my hedges like last year

kind of along the lines i had pictured you have a very intimate knowledge of how cars are put together then. i found it quite interesting to see how the cabin is built up when i took the dash out the valver. it was much more complex the VW camper van i helped restore for example how do you find out how to disassemble cars you have not worked on before? do you have a resource you can go to so as to see where screws, bolts, fasteners etc are? i know from when the VR had paint done that the bodyshop struggled with the door handles - the fact they had removed the drivers handle but not the passenger's was clear to see by the finish under the handle
-
ha ha ha good point m8 maybe i should rephrase to 'when there is less ice & rain' ;)
-
cool - playing with cars & getting paid to do it sounds fun! out of interest, what does a 'strip fitter' do? is it stip stuff out & then fit other stuff in? lol
-
time goes so fast when outside of work but then sloooooows down during work hours i constantly run out of time on the weekends & juggling refurbing my house along with 2 rado's i could do with 6 months off work lol hopefully you can get some testing done soon new job, congratulations - a good one i hope :)
-
thanks m8 seats....they will be being tackled once the warmer weather arrives, too bloody cold to be wrestling with then on a driveway
-
quick update, just a pic really :D new blue lines

intermittent faults - you gotta hate them! our rado's somehow fixing said intermittent faults however I do love! lol typical that you had no noise on the last journey. i have always found my VR has a funny habit of something stopping working for a while & then just as i get round to having a look why it bloody works again! latest example being - heated seat drivers side in the VR - ever since i have had it it has always had times when the relay would jib out & buzz like crazy. a few weeks ago i started hunting for a relay or a fix. discussed on this forum in a thread & wouldn't you know ever since the buzzing hasn't happened again. toasty bum in cold weather i will not moan at but who knows why it has started behaving did you manage to find anything over the weekend m8?
