yup I can vouch for that! I have a constant battle & struggle in trying to juggle jobs refurb'ing the house I brought last year, keeping the VR running & looking nice (well err looking as nice as I can get it), & trying to restore the valver that said, each time I even think about maybe selling the rado / s I just cant entertain driving a car that doesn't make me turn round & look at it with a big smile each time I walk away from it nor one that feels lifeless & unresponsive in comparison

hi Kip sorry only just seen your post I do about 30 miles a day on old battered country roads. I run KWV1's with their standard spring rate & have OE front wishbone bushes. I have done nearly 30k miles on the current ones without an issue so something must be not right with the power flex ones I did consider putting R32 ones in but the KW's can be pretty firm already & I wasn't sure if the R32's would increase that

very nice really makes me want to sort the paint on my white valver but the VR must comes first for paint

nice - I have refurb'd mine in the same style as you have - black centres, unpainted bolts & a polished lip. I love the way the titanium bolts look which hold the 2 halves together :) are you able to get any cross over parts between the golf VR & US rado VR? IIRC they both have the AAA 2.8 VR lump in it. rather than the ABV 2.9 VR we had over in the UK

no problem - good luck have you thought about giving the ones you have a wet & dry rub down & spray them primer & then matte black? might be worth a £3 rattle can from wilko's - I managed to refurb my early style grill for the valver that way ;) there are before & after pics of the grill on my build thread if you want to see the outcome

hmmm I didn't notice that - Im not sure that part number is definitely the one I used though as I copied it off the order confirmation email from the one I brought & used

tidy that was definitely the part number I used & ordered for my valver & it fitted a treat

ahhh that could also then potentially explain why my drivers seat has never gotten really that warm & nowhere near that which the gf's old storm seats did thanks I will have a look

IIRC the golf version is similar but the feed / return pipes are different you want to try & make sure you get a Valeo branded unit as they are meant to be the most reliable let me take a look & try to find out where I got mine & get you a part number & link etc..... EDIT: hmmmm ok I have found the order I placed for the Valeo matrix I installed in my valver it was from http://www.partshop247.co.uk & listed as VALEO heat exchanger, interior heating AUDI,SEAT,SKODA,VW 812031 it was £58.85 plus delivery in Aug 2014 however today they don't show a Valeo unit, nor one at a similar price https://www.partshop247.co.uk/car-parts/car-cooling-parts-and-car-heating/heating/heater-matrix/#form_reg I am not sure if you can buy from Valeo direct but I do know they have a building very near where I live, might be worth contacting them http://www.valeo.com/en/the-group/ ha ha ha I bloody typed all that & then thought id do a quick search on string 'vw corrado part 812031' & found the below http://www.bestpartstore.co.uk/1103706 available for under £35 or call the supplier of the wrong one & tell them you need a Valeo branded part 812031 good luck
