1. Thanks guys glad you enjoyed the food, sorry i didnt stick around in the morning but was completely fed up with the hey fever and wanted to curl up and die. Who ever invented it should be shot! Next year I'm going to come in full NBC suit
2. I do hope so Lew. Thats not a problem glad you enjoyed it
3. Nice work :) shame about the rad problems
4. Well I'm convinced this car is determined to push my patience to its limits! On my way to meet every one before the show whilst on the way something just didnt feel right looked at the wheels whilst driving (using mirrors) to see one of the rear wheels wobbling. so pulled over at a garage luckily just up the road and borrowed their jack. took the wheel of and checked it was on properly. For some reason the spacer just wont sit right on the hub. Not sure why as they were on the front before hand and didnt have any problems at all. so I had to limp my way to Bristol as I couldnt use the wheel with out spacers as the bolts would of gone through the hub and into the abs ring. Will have a proper look tomorrow. Then whilst at the show I managed to lock my keys in the car :bonk: Managed to get back in tho but is scary how easy it was. And to top it all off I had a flat battery this morning and took several attempts to jump start it. What ever next?
5. Well anything that could of gone wrong did go wrong for me :( First off on the way I found out I have a warped spacer causing the rear wheel to osculate. Then I lock my keys in the car! Kinda scary how easy it was to get back into it tho. Also my hey fever kicked off with a vengeance. had gunk coming from my eyes all night and didnt sleep much at all, I look like I've been punched. And this morning when I went to chucked in the towel my battery was dead. Sorry if I woke any one whilst trying to get my car started and thank to Ian for helping jump start the car. Still enjoyed myself tho despite all the mishaps. A few pics I took
6. I'm not worried about getting the car dirty, just the Mrs moaning about being cold
7. Tempted to leave the corrado at home and rock up in the estate, just fold the back seats down and hey presto a warm, dry bed :D
8. Sorted out the spacing on the wheels today in between the rain. Now has 5mm on the front and 13mm on the back, to give it a nice staggered looked. also took this pic of the corrado and the daily.
9. Well acording to BBC weather it looks like it might be the same as last year. Sunny saturday wet sunday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2654675
10. Sounds good to me Andy. I think I best bring the Gazebo again as we might need it!
11. only fault I've picked up on that kit is it spaces the head gasket instead of using low compression pistons.
12. Thanks to those who have given me their share of the food dosh, if I could have the rest of them by Thursday that would be great. I hope the weather gets better for the weekend.
13. A friend found this whilst searching the German ebay http://www.ebay.de/itm/R32-Turbo-Kit-Garrett-Gt28Rs-Golf-1-2-4-5-3-2-v6-TT-/250897090041?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item3a6aa1c5f9
14. Sounds good man, love the first song :D
15. When I get better I might charge more but cant justify charging any more at this stage.
16. Thanks for the input guys any knowledge is good knowledge
17. Ya no doubt, as I said a little something on the side to keep me out of trouble. Would only use the polisher with extreme caution and will be practicing on my daily to make sure I'm 100% confident with it.
18. Will reply to you now Wendy Thanks Jim, I hope it takes off, had enough of working for a-holes
19. Thinking of doing a bit of detailing on the side to keep me out of trouble Mainly in the Gloucestershire area but can do further if petrol costs covered. Would be done on my days off work so would need to arrange something in advance if interested. What can I do? depending on what you want I can do all of the following or any combination you like. 1. Wash and dry. Using the 2 bucket method, lambs wool mitt and waffle weave drying towel. first a light hose down (so not to embed dirt particles) then when rinsing off will use a pressure washer. 1a. Wheels washed with AG wheel cleaner, wheels can also be clay bared, and waxed if required and tyres dressed 2. Clay, with meguiars clay bar and AG quick detailer, followed by another wash. 3. Polish. Either by hand using AG super resin polish or by DA polisher** using meguiars polishing pads and paste. 4. Paint enhancer, using Poorboys - black hole 5. Seal the paint work using AG sealant 6. Wax with either collinite 476 or a soft Turtle wax. Can also do a combination of both. 7. All black trim treated with AG trim and rubber care. Can also do interiors. I also have a vax machine which can be used to clean seats and carpets. Not 100% confident with leather treatment yet but as soon as I am I can also provide this service. Price wise for Corrado forum member I can do the whole lot on a Corrado form steps 1 to 7 for £70, I think this is a fair price considering it would take me pretty much all day to complete this. For the inside as well I would say an extra £10 would be fair. The price on other cars would all depends on the size. As mentioned above any combination can be done and prices will be done on each individually requirements. all that I would require from you whilst doing it would be a power and water supply (will have a hose and extension leads just need some where to plug them in) Also a few cups of tea :D The results I can get you can see below, I will be practicing on my new car as the paint isnt great on it to make sure I confidently handle any ones car. Your car would be treated like my own and great care will be taken on every step. Thanks for looking and if interested please contact me. Also have a fb page now https://www.facebook.com/pages/AJ-Detailing/452728348119329 **I cannot grantee removal of scratches with the polisher as I will only use a very light pad and paste, due to the lack of a paint thickness gauge. The results will come from rounding off the edge of the scratches which will scatter the light better giving a better appearance.
20. I'll let you off with the excuse :D
21. Fair enough mate, you should pop over to Bristol Volksfest on the weekend
