One if the jobs that needs doing on my new corrado is the auxiliary belt is quite squeaky so I want to replace it and whilst I'm at it I might as well do the tensioner bearing as detailed in this guide http://wiki.the-corrado.net/vr6_belt_tensioner_pulley_repair.html I'm having trouble finding the exact bearing quoted, will this one fit bearing size 17mmx40mmx12mm? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272252963506 Also any recommendations for replacement belts?

Well ladies and gentalmen it has been a while but I am now back into the addiction that is corrado ownership  Picked up a 1992 VR6 from Mark aka Wardyblade earlier today from Dronfield. Inittialy had Vag-Hag check the car out for me as it was 100+miles away. After Chris gave me fantastic feedback with loads of information about the car I made the decising to go up and view the car myself with the potential of buying it. And as you can all see I came away as the new owner. Its a 1992 VR6 in Moonlight blue, has done 133k miles and 10 years ago (50k miles) it had an engine rebuild which was completed by Stealth Raceing. Its an early VR6 so has an early interior and late exterior with a working sunroof. How I've missed owning a car with a sunroof. I have a folder rammed full of recipts and a log book that has every single stamp space filled, will need to get a new log book after the next service. It has a couple of body work issues but its something youd expect with a car of this age. So going to focuse on getting them sorted first as the car itself is mechanically sound. Any way enough talking heres some photos

Just curious to what's out there. Either a VR6 or a G60 but only really interested in a G60 if it's a yellow Nugget! Price range £3/4k

Selling my fabia as I don't need it anymore. Solids car and great runner and very cheap to run. 149k miles with full skoda service history loads of paper work. It's a 1.9tdi 100bhp engine. Bad points: washer bottle leaks, overdue a service and occasional water ingress through the rear door. Body work is solidly with usual age related marks but no rust. Looking for £500 for it located in Gloucestershire. Can't post a photo so if you would like some pm me you phone number and I'll send some to you

Thanks for all the info guys. I have seen sense and I have purchased a Octavia VRS instead. Will be picking it up Friday. I'll leave owning a RS4 or S4 till when I'm earning alot more money
-
From what I've seen on research the running costs aren't too bad considering the car. Certain jobs cost more on then which is expected. Fuel costs won't be a big issue as I won't be doing that many miles for work.

First of all happy new year everyone. So yesterday my wife made the fatal mistake of saying "Why don't you get one" whilst I was admiring a nice Audi RS4 Avant. So doing what any car guy would do I went and looked online at some to see what was about and what prices. Turns out they're fairly reasonably priced and so was a few insurance quotes I got back. So anyone on here had one before and what things to look out for whilst looking at them?

Sorry tabbi can't seem to find the stickers anywhere looks like the Mrs chucked then out. If I do find them I will let you know

As Ian said I used to have the stickers. I'm sure I have them hidden away some where so will have a dig about when I get chance and see if I can find them
