Very nearly there guys, last half dozen or so switches. Then that will be it for new headlights switches, no more! Its been an adventure getting them sorted out over the last year. A big thanks goes to Chris (RW1) for all your technical help with this and to all you guys for the support and buying along the way with them. Cheers to all.

I wasn't bothered about the games before they started. I'm gripped by it now! Absolutely incredible, the effort put in by the brits to win is inspiring to the country. Just think what could be achieved in the country if everyone lived and worked by those standards! Puts the benefit cheats all to shame!!! Congratulations to all the Team GB athletes.

Hey guys, Thought I would put a few pics up of my van that I've given a twist of gti flavour. I've had 10 years of owning Golf gti's, I really wanted to own another but knew I needed to update my van for work. As a result, I felt I needed to give the van a little bit of a gti feel and look. Its not finished by any stretch of the imagination but a work in progress. I need a couple of red lines on the grill and to go lower with some GAZ. The Reimo 333 seat is going to be fitted by the end of next week. The van was bought as a 140bhp panel van. I spec'ed with Air-Con, Tailgate, Captains Chairs, Extra Battery, Appearance Pack, Trip Computer, Fogs, Sportline Alloys. Extras added so far- Dynamat, Insulation, Ply and Carpet, Ply floor with Altro, Rear Speakers, Reimo 333 seat with floor rails, Side opening windows in limo tint, 12v Sockets, LED lights in the roof and tailgate, my favourite- mk6 Golf gti check fabric on the seats and a check stripe down the roof lining, finished off with a steering wheel from a mk6 Golf R (ok not a gti but close enough!!!). Personally speaking, I like the shape of the mk5 loads more than the mk4. BUT you know the car and it has served you well. Would be difficult to jump ship and start again with another car. Would love an Edition 30 but would be a bit pricey compared to the mk4.

Tatty covers it but not for a grand for me! As agreed with the above, does need a load of work and has been sitting there for some time which causes issues in it's self. Cheers buddy, Did see this on ebay, would want a more standard car. I have looked at Yandards on ebay also, would be a super purchase. Would have to sell mine first though for that one, thats why I've been thinking of someone wanting to change to a VR.

Hey guys, I've been thinking for a while now that I would really to own a funky yellow C :thumbleft:. I do love the VR noise and cruise but would like to own one of these as some point. It would be easy to do a swop plus or money back but we would have to see what if anything is offered and whether you would want to go for a VR6 or not. A G60 would be the first choice but wouldn't shy away from a valver either. What's out there all?

Haha, like the cheeky reference to the headlight switch being genuine and not a chinese copy :) Once the plastic becomes brittle and break, the winning bidder could always buy a copy then Only playing, you've got some good parts for sale there. Best of luck with the selling.

Do you know the part numbers for VR6 wishbones? I have powdercoated wishbones at home but just need to check they are VR ones for you. I can't see me getting the time to fit them now.

I've been having mk2 thoughts again, even though I've had 3 mk2 gti's over a 10 year period. I would only want to go a Rallye, original G60 or pristine 16v. There is something about them being fun. My mrs still prefers my old mk2 to the Rado.
