2013 Late Headlight Switch Group Buy. Stock Now Arrived.
8vMatt replied to 8vMatt's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Thank you Jim, very good of you for your kind words. I forgot to put in the first post, I don't want and won't take any money until I actually have the switches in my hands. -
Hi guys New year, so I thought I would start a new thread for these as the previous thread got so big. Thought this would be clearer to keep control of. I would recommend anyone who is interested in a switch but doesn't know the details about them, have a read of the previous group buy and feeler threads. There is a load of technical info in there and would prob answer your questions. 200 of these switches are out there in use, so rest assured that these are good units. The group buy is on! I am paying for the switches this week (gulp!) and have been informed of an early to mid March supply time. This is slightly later than I had expected due to the Chinese new year hols. Please list your name & quantity so I can compile a list. I'll ask those that have previously enquired also. Price has been kept the same as previous ones. £23 posted in the UK. Postage around the world is fine but I might need to find out a price first. These switches have gone to several European countries as well as the US. Any questions you can't find an answer for from the other threads, please ask. Thanks everybody. List- 1. Delfinis38 - 1 Paid Posted 2. Rorgasm - 1 Paid Posted 3. Cheers Bill. I'm keeping the price the same as before (even though costs have increased), I will sell them posted in the UK for £23. I have now sent my confirmation email off to state that am willing to place an order. I've asked how long it might take for them to arrive. I'll keep my group buy thread updated with news. ---------- Post added at 9:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:29 PM ---------- Haha, beat me to it. I got sidetracked watching Audi Quattro rally cars on telly, so didn't see you had already replied!

Not much use to you if you're without lights at the moment but I'm setting the wheels into motion to get another batch of switches made for me.

Hi guys, I've been away from the forum for a while but now things are more settled, I can dedicate more time to here. The last time I contacted the manufacturers about the switches, I had positive vibes from them about being able to have more made for me. As there does seem to be a demand for them, I will take the plunge and take the steps to order a new batch. I'll keep you all updated as the manufacture will take a few weeks from the time the order would be placed. Keep stating your interest if you would like a switch. Cheers guys. -
Hey guys, I'm back to the forum after a big old break for various reasons. Before my absence I had the mistake of sending the wrong switch to Hofmeister. It was returned to me but I forgot about it and never supplied the right one. I wasn't around here to see his posts and pm's until today. So I've now refunded him straight away and hopefully he will accept my sincere apologies. This will not happen again as distractions that have kept me away from here are finished. The service the forum recieved from me supplying 200 headlight switches are testament to show that this was a one off blip of bad service. I hold my hands up that this wasn't good enough and will not happen again. Hi Billyboy, everything that is listed in the original post that's still available, is still correct as I've not been around to sell anything else.

Horrible to pay out loads isn't it!

Good to see people getting ready for bad roads. Should be compulsory if the weather gets to a certain level, would stop so many accidents. You guys are lucky paying £50-60 a corner, just got some 235/50/18 winter tyres for the van- bloody £130 each! Safe driving all.

Bargain for someone.

Hey buddy, how's you? Sorry its only the late type I've been able to find in production. Think you should register that web address, looks good!

Hi Chris Not my intention at all and apologies if you think I did. I wanted to give a measured response to answer about the question of mine being Chinese copies. Sometimes people have a preconceived idea about a product. This is true about Chinese products as its thought of that they are inferior, I just wanted to set the record straight. Everything has a value, you stating its worthless is more damaging to it selling than anything I can say. I recently sold a new genuine switch I had for spare for more than the others. Some people will only buy genuine and others are happy as long as it works. That's why GSF selling pattern parts and TPS with genuine parts can happily operate side by side. Just catering for different markets. But be sure I wasn't having a dig at you.

Upgraded Chinese switches as these have led lights inside rather than bulbs, so don't cause the heat that makes the rocker switch plastic brittle and eventually break. This is the reason the majority of genuine switches need to be changed. Selling a genuine one would be at least 16 years old if original to the car, so how much use has it had compared to a new one. I stand by the quality of my ones by how good the feedback is about them. More will be in production soon, I'll keep everyone updated.

Is there enough interest for a new batch of headlight switches?
8vMatt replied to 8vMatt's topic in Group Buy Feelers
Cheers guys, I think I will make the investment into another batch of these. I could do with lots more of people saying they would have one to make sure costs get covered etc. Tell the newbies to Corrado ownership that they should have a look at these! I'll email the manufacturers and get back to you with some more details etc, hopefully an idea of delivery dates. Keep showing your interest as these won't be around in the future, thanks guys. -
Don't paint the chrome one bud, they're hard to find in decent nick now. You can get a new primered one from TPS for less than £15. A good chrome one will be worth far more than this.
