Fair point, you can get good and bad from any manufacturer. Take late Corrado heater controls as an example!
-
I think "cheap and nasty" might be a little extreme. This is a mass producer of shock absorbers, so you probably cannot compare with specialist sports suspension manufacturers. If you check their website, you will see they are the worlds largest manufacturer of shock absorbers and they also have the largest shock absorber factory in the world, located in Japan. Their products are used by many car manufacturers as their standard equipment. The company has been around for nearly 100 years, and I am not sure they would be in their current good financial state if they produced absolute rubbish. As I say, I am not saying that specific individual products they produce will be as good as the most expensive alternatives, but they should be a reasonable standard replacement part. Judging by the main suspension thread, different people have very different opinions on the same products. Tony

Don't know about these for VWs, but I bought some for my daughters Corsa and they were really good. Totally transformed the ride, although hers were pretty shot! They appeared well made, came with all possible required parts and install instructions. Slotted straight in without any hassle. They seem, to have a reasonable reputation.

They might take a little while to come, but VW Heritage are a reliable supplier from my old beetle days

I have two on order from VW Classic Parts via VW Heritage. Part number is C191-857-971, but they are currently shown out of stock. They were in stock when I ordered them. Mine have been on order for a few weeks now, but are due at VW Heritage this week. Of course, they might not turn up at all! Might be worth talking to VW Heritage about them, but you may want to try to grab those eBay ones.

At the cinema, another vote for Avengers Assemble 9/10. I loved it. On Blu-ray, just seen The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (English Daniel Craig version), which is very gritty and dark. It deviates a little from the book in places, but is a good solid remake. 7/10

Okay thanks, will bear it in mind if I cannot find anything else. I appreciate the offer though. Tony

Thanks swiftkid, that is really useful info.

Hi Robo, have you got any more details about this i.e. condition, price etc. Cheers, Tony

I am looking for a late VR6 slam panel intact. I have a Blackberry '95 VR6, so a Blackberry one would be great, but a straight non-broken one of any colour would be fine.
-
Yes, real pain as I need one, but those on eBay either do not state what they are off or wrongly state they will do for any model

Payment sent and PM sent to you with address details. Tony
-
I have PM'd you Craig. If can't arrange pick up, will get payment to you as soon as I hear back from my PM. Thanks, Tony
-
Hi Craig, if still available, I will take it. Tony

Dave's tunnel fix is just brilliant. Also done handle repair, uprated headlight loom, Lupo GTI wipers, all of which are great easy mods. Another member of the Dave appreciation society!

I put my relays in a small plastic sealed food container. Seems to keep them dry. They have survived this very wet April, so can't be too bad.

Really glad I went. It was a great turnout considering lousy weather. Nice seeing you all again or meeting you for the first time. See you all at where ever we next meet, including CCGB National Day if you are going. Tony -

From review sites, there appears to be inside cafe as well as takeaway. Let's hope there is. I am still coming, but if little cover, may not be staying too long. -

I think 11 was already mentioned in the thread. Will be there, but might need lots of hot coffee if weather like today! -
Hi Fay, Neal seems to have one bit on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Volkswagen-Corrado-VR6-16v-G60-Drivers-Side-Lower-Windscreen-Cover-Trim-/221005634856 I assume that is what you are after. If no-one else can help, it might be a start. Tony

I will be there. See you soon. -
I just have the glass sunroof panel. Is it easy to just swap the metal opening panel for the glass one? I can see there are just 4 screws to fit it, but how easy is it? Does the bit of headlining trim that sits inside the opening remain or does it have to be removed?

Thanks, might try that if it starts to really be a pain to the eyes. Like the fact that it is not hot to the touch though.
