Hate the lack of cupholder in the Rado? I had an idea..
tbvr6 replied to bristolbaron's topic in Interior
Here is my attempt. I used an old broken centre console for the donor plastic, so the 'crackle' pattern matches the other plastics. Only problem is I cleaned it before fitting and now it is blacker than rest. Have to polish the rest of the tunnel cover now! -
This is where I got it from: http://www.lamin-x.co.uk/shop/subtletint.htm My son used the darker tint on his Polo. Can't show you that as he wrote it off! Tony

First picture I have uploaded, so hope this works. As you can see it is a reasonably subtle tint, but I like it.

Try to tomorrow...

I used the subtle tint on my headlights, front fogs and indicators. Still looks nicely smoked, but does not reduce light output significantly, especially with updated headlight loom and Osram nightbreakers. At the same time I painted the flat parts around the headlight reflectors a silk black, which adds a certain mean look to the front end.

Used this headlight switch for the first time after dark. Man that LED is bright! Switch works really well though, so very happy. -
Fitted new headlight switch, courtesy of 8vMatt. Looks and works great. Fitted new front number plate surround and plate, to match back. Almost finished the rear ashtray to cup holder conversion.

Vinny, really sorry for your loss and sorry you had a bad experience from the forum. All the best... -
Not really what I did today, but at The Phirm finally having heated seats connected (just in time for summer!) and coolant leak fixed.
-
Replaced mix of different screws in drivers side under tray with complete set of genuine screws of same type and size. All sits nice and firm now.

Hi Matt, can I get one please? Tony -
Fixed right side main beam, lead had fallen out of uprated wiring loom! Fitted new rear number plate holder and plate, looking great.

Great day out, glad to meet everyone. Will see you at National Day at Brooklands... Tony

Oops, sent in error, realised both sets already spoken for. What an idiot I am....
-
I would like a set as both missing... Tony

I can meet you in Basingstoke and head up, just say where. My normal route would be to M4 J11, then Newbury, A34 and M40, so hardly any detour at all. Tony

Just fitted a really good condition tunnel with all tabs / screw points in place, that I got off eBay. Fitted it with this bracket and I now have a centre tunnel cover that does not move a millimetre. Can't recommend this more, just brilliant and so easy to fit.

Basingstoke/Reading meet - Thurs 29th March

That's nice and near for me, should be able to make it -
Guildford is good for me too, as I live near Fleet, so only 30 mins away --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.258483,-0.829882

Really good day out, glad to meet you all. Good to see the photos. Had a very wet journey back up the M3, but think we were actually quite lucky with the weather while there, as it rained constantly in home town of Fleet. See you again soon as I intend to be at more events next year. Tony - Blackberry VR6

Just a word of warning. I have just had a rather long wasted journey to BJV. My wheels had plastic centre caps and this is something they cannot do. Most wheel refurbishers will powder coat the alloy wheel and paint the plastic centre cap to match. BJV only powder coat, so they cannot paint the centre cap to match and you cannot powder coat plastic. So, does anyone know what The Wheel Specialist in Fareham is like. They do paint centre caps to match wheels, but they are more expensive. Does anyone have any knowledge of them? Failing that, anyone else recommend somewhere else? Cheers, Tony (tbvr6) P.S. Martin, you might want to remove my wheels from P1.
-
Just rang BJV and am going to drop my wheels and tyres off Tuesday as it is the next time I am in work and next time they are open. I will let you know how I get on in regards to the discount. I take it they have not given a discount code or anything, I guess I just quote The Corrado Forum? I did not mention this on the phone as they sounded busy, but will discuss it when they see the wheels. With a bit of luck I can have the new wheels and tyres on in time for Stonor Park. Cheers, Tony

Hi Martin, Just to firm up exactly what I am looking to have done: 4 x BK Racing BK850s complete refurbish, powder coated in mid to dark anthracite/gunmetal. 4 x BK Racing 150mm 2-piece plastic centre caps, painted in same colour I will supply 4 tyres to be fitted and balanced after refurb Although I live in Fleet, I work in Egham, so can drop wheels off myself if required. I really want to get this done soon, before some of the June shows. So if this is going to happen shortly, I will join in. Otherwise, probably do my own thing. Cheers, Tony

What size are the wheels and do you want std finish? They are 16" x 7J. I want a standard finish, just can't decide whether silver or anthacite/charcoal :confused4:
