  1. How big is it? pics would be good thanks. Sounds good, ill have a look and see if theres anything decent on there, on a bit of a budget at the moment, got 2 cars to sell and need to save for some new wheels/refurb!
  2. haha thats what i though, you'd have to have REALLY pointy knees and precision movement....
  3. Found this randomly on the 'tube and thought it was worth watching... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzmjjmd6lrI Haha gotta love this G60 advert: Also found something an american dealer advert for the scirocco: (sorry if these have been shared before...)
  4. Yeah i've read quite a bit about audioscape however the website is down, or at least the sub enclosure section isnt showing any content...i guess it would be easy enough to manufacture something myself to fit inside the arches...
  5. Out of curiousity has anyone tried anything like this? http://www.fusionelectronics.com/united-kingdom/car-audio-1/active-enclosures-8/ress18-122-product.aspx With amp and sub built into the same unit, i want a better audio system however i tend to use the boot a lot and dont want the hassle of removing everything every time i need more space. Failing that i was thinking about storing a smallish 2-channel amp behind one of the rear cards and running a smallish 10" sub somewhere in the boot however i think the above might be a better solution...
  6. I nearly found out the hard way when i replaced my sunroof (wanted total closure and my early was knackered) and couldn't for the life of me work out why it wouldn't work anymore....until i closed the hex-key socket cover... :epicfail:
  7. IIRC late 92, my valver is 92 with late exterior and early interior but AFAIK all G60's had the early interior
  8. You'd have to find one first  I found a few forums about this though, they're not for the Corrado but might help if you can find a unit http://www.passatworld.com/forums/printthread.php?t=102192 http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=135282
  9. I had a similar issue with mine, it basically turned out to be that the grounding and power point for the siren (which was battery back-up too) wasn't good enough and wasn't providing these any more so the siren was just using the power from the battery backup up until the point where there was no juice left and it died totally. I wouldn't know where your siren was but it shouldn't be too hard to spot if you open the bonnet and the battery back up should be built into the siren..

    Sun roof swop

im pretty sure the motors fit fine because thats what i did with mine, the only issue as you say is the wiring, but if he is just changing the actual system (but keeping the motor) then it shouldnt be an issue with the wiring. So buy the G60 sunroof but use your existing late motor, that way you dont have to cut up the wiring and it will continue to work on the full closure (the earlys didnt have full closure on the sunroof) and they both bolt in just fine
  11. Im pretty sure ive seen them for T4's and passats also found this link if it helps http://www.passatworld.com/forums/printthread.php?t=102192 This might also be helpful: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=135282 The next problem is obtaining one...
  12. they're all compatible, just make sure you get an early for your G60 otherwise it wont match
  13. Im also interested in what the best thing to use is, Im in the process of colour coding my grill and the dub logo is pretty much white now where the colour has gone, i was contemplating painting it black but i think the silver/chrome goes better with the colour of my car (Pearl green)
  14. Yeah give me your ideas and i'll see what i can do
  15. Not sure if this should this be in a different part of the forum but oh well. Basically i need a new o/s fog and ive found some online that seem cheap, they've included part numbers but im not sure if they're correct. Its for a late spec C INB 005 394-01 and INB 005 394-02 Are these correct? (i have found this showing slightly different part numbers, am i correct in saying that the above numbers probably aren't Hella http://www.bosseuroparts.com/VW_Corrado_lights.htm) Failing that if someone has a good condition (no cracks etc) drivers side fog light i might be interested Thanks, J
  16. The same thing happened with my brothers sierra. We fixed the problem using reverse drill heads. You use one that is smaller than the bolt and when it gets to a certain depth it kinda 'locks' and starts to unscrew the bolt. You can also use something called 'Easy out' ive seen it advertised in various places but don't ask me where. You have to make sure that you catch any bits of loose metal that come from the bolt as you drill through it, we used an old rag and a strong magnet! Did the trick, hope that helps :) Oh and the bolts on the rocker cover/upper inlet there isnt really a particular order J
  17. Its not that simple lol, you'll need to provide me with ideas for how you want them to look, i also need to know the positions of the dials, ive got 16v 2.0 7000rpm version and i think the VR6 version. I am however going to assume that, after looking at the DDI website, the G60 dials are the same as the VR6 (as listed on their site) So once you can provide me with a little inspiration i can do whatever you want :D I was just looking at the black ones above really nice.My g60 only has up to 7000 revs on it you think they would be the same.Il try and think of something altough im not really good at that type of thing lol. What do you print them on and do the lights shine threw. Thanks for the reply mate. Stock Corrado dials arent reverse lit, so unless you've got a DDI kit or EL paper they'll just be lit from the front (with whatever lighting system you're using) They do however seem to react very well with UV light (i will post up a picture). From testing i have found that the best sheet to print them onto is a matt label sheet (like the ones you you print onto cds) it gives a really good finish and doesnt have any glare, they're also stickybacked which means they can either be fixed to a plastic sheet and added or stuck directly on top of your existing dials. I have also tested matt/satin photo paper but it scratches easily and picks up finger prints so.... I print mine from a normal inkjet printer (epson dx7440) on its best setting (photoenhance) As i said the G60 dials seem to be exactly the same as the VR6 dials on the DDI website so hopefully someone can confirm this. I can also confirm the positions of the points with Novastrike as he has a VR6 (if he lets me take his car apart obviously  )
  18. Hey, yeah ill be interested in seeing exactly how to carry out this procedure, even if its just a case of showing your test rig etc
  19. I COULD do....but then mine wouldn't be unique, i can find one that very similar, or can find another font altogether P.S sorry about the late reply :(

  21. It might be a quirk but its damn annoying
  22. My 'rado seems to think that she can create petrol! Every time i brake the needle starts to rise, its not sudden (as if it were loose) but then it falls again as i drive.... Any suggestions? Jason
  23. The ABS light, like the switches are age related, larger one with 2 bulbs and connectors fits into the late dash, although John and I could never work out what the second bulb/socket was for
  24. Well the headlight switches are the same size and use the same wiring loom so he's got no issue there. The switches in the late centre console are slightly larger though and will only fit their age console (ie late switches will only fit late centre console) As far as i'm aware however the centre consoles are the same shape so if you were planning on using the same one (the late one) in your valver then it should fit into the dash, that way you haven't got to change the looms etc (although since you'll have the entire dash out anyway they're very easy to change, or at least i found it easy anyway.) As i said with the heater box it all depends if you're changing it over. If the centre console doesnt fit (but i think it does although don't quote me) then you'll have to retro fit the slider controls which also means changing the cables (again easy if the dash is out already). If you wanted to relocate the cd player heater controls etc then you'll have to mod the centre console and create your own brackets, as obviously they were only meant to fit in one place
  25. ok after starting to alter the file that you gave me ive noticed that some of the positions are slightly out, ie the speedo marks and the rev counter marks are different, i dont know how andi did his in the first place but i'm pretty sure mine are as accurate as you can get doing it yourself but i'll double check it again against my massacred dials (they were from an early valver) so i dont know if he did his against a VR6 or a G60.... IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: DUE TO THE NATURE OF INACCURATE MATCHES OF THE TWO IMAGES I HAVE MADE IT TO THE SAME LOCATIONS AS ANDI'S AS THE VR6 DIALS SEEMS TO BE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT (sorry about the caps but i need that to be noted as i dont want them to be used and be inaccurate) IF ANYONE ELSE WANTS SOMETHING LIKE THIS DONE THEY NEED TO LET ME KNOW IS THIERS IS A G60, VR6 or Valver (i would need to have access to the dials so i can double check my alignment, i can probably get access to VR6 dials but the G60 might be a bit harder) Unless anyone can tell me if the dials are the same (position wise etc, obviously temp and petrol are the same) Edit: Image uploaded; I have also had to use slightly different fonts as I couldn't find the originals used, however if you happen across any decent fonts then please let me know. I have also double checked (by printing out) my dials against the originals (on the Valver) and they match up. (i cannot upload the pdf as it is too large but here is the image preview, the pdf is needed for printing and can be sent via email or other) Fla [VR6 Template].jpg[/attachment:2wtagvfe]
