  1. Hi, I've recently been out of the country for a while and I left the car sitting on the drive without the battery in it. I've just put the battery back in and everything was looking good. Alarm all works fine, lights all come up on the dash when you turn the first click of the key, but when I turn it again to start the engine it does nothing... The oil light flashes on the dash as it's supposed to, the alarm light comes on and stays solid as it's supposed to, but nothing else happens. I've tried wiggling the key and I've taken the plastics off to pull out and reconnect the ignition's power. Nothing seems to help. Neither of the two key's I have do anything, so I know it's not that... Any help please?!!
  2. I'm not going to post anything mate sorry, I have too much going on packing all my stuff up already. Its in fairly good condition. It was meant to go on my VR.
  3. I have a few bits I wanted to get rid of before I leave to go travelling. Buyer needs to collect from Worthing, West Sussex. They include: -Large front splitter - £20 -1.8 16v Slam panel - £25 -1.8 16v front bumper (without bumper iron) - £30 1.8 parts are blue but will need respraying if they are going on a good quality car. -I have a few other small bits such as headlight glasses and bonnet nipples which I'm happy to flog cheap to anyone that comes to look. Otherwise they can just be chucked before I leave!! PM me for more details and pictures can be emailed if necessary. Thanks, Simon
  4. VR6 | Dragon Green | Worthing, West Sussex Price: £2500ovno Description: I am putting up for sale my Dragon Green VR6. This car has been my pride and joy for two years and I have strived to keep it as unmolested as possible. Due to personal reasons I have decided to go travelling and I don't want the car under a cover on my parents drive rotting away, unloved and unused. I have dropped the price becasue the car is the last thing to be sorted before I can leave for Australia. The car will sell itself once it is seen, I looked at a lot of Corrados all over the south of England before buying this one and it really is a good example. The details are as follows: -L Reg (1993) -145k miles -Huge folder of paperwork including a detailed breakdown of work carried out and corresponding dates (in the form of an Excel spreadsheet) -New MOT until November 2013 -New 6 month Tax disc until April 2013 -Spoiler, sunroof, mirrors and heated seats all work perfectly. -Engine has been well maintained and service book is full. (I have never had to undertake any repair work on it...it just keep on going!) -Magnex Exhaust system -Full cream leather -Debadged front grille (Original front badge can be supplied with the car) -Minor issues include a rust spot on the rear windscreen edge and a small tear to the drivers seat bolster leather. -Some recent work has included new lower suspension arms both sides, O/S front wheel bearing, N/S rear calliper, new coilpack. -I do have a few other spares and bits in the loft which I’m quite happy to go with the car if it gets the asking price. This will include a few spare headlight glasses, spare front washer nipples and pipes, bonnet rubbers, a few spare bulbs etc (I’ll dig the rest out for anyone viewing) I have looked after this car with the intention of keeping it for a long time and I am advertising it on the Corrado forums (exactly where I got it from 2 years ago after a lot of searching for the 'right' car...) because I want it to be looked after. Please PM me if you are interested or call me on 07811 747054 to discuss the car/arrange a viewing. Many thanks, Simon CCGB No. 3313 Photo's won't upload at the moment. They will follow shortly.
  5. Hi Dave, My door handle on the drivers side has finally snapped somewhere and gone floppy. Can I get a repair kit from you. Does it matter which part of it has broken or is the whole unit a replacement? PM me with details and I'll send the cash. Cheers, Simon
  6. Ooops I meant / not - there. The lifter treatment goes in with an oil change, fuel treatments are obviously seperate!!
  7. I think they all use a little oil. Both of mine have. If you drive it towards the top of the revs and let it run hot, some oil will get used. Have a look around for oil leaks just in case, a little weep somewhere won't be the end of the world as long as you do check it regularly to make sure its not getting any worse. I thought the tapping sound was going to cost me a load. I did a full oil change and ended up giving it an extra few bits and then it was gone for less than £100 I think. Clean oil can only ever be a good thing anyway!!! Good luck.
  8. I had a similar problem. It was the hydraulic lifters. Check your oil first, if mine gets a little low that can set it off. A treatment may work (pour into fuel mix type thing - Hydraulic Valve Lifter Treatment) alternatively you may have to look at the more serious option of actual engine work. Don't panic yet, I drove mine with the ticking noise for about a week until it got bad then treated it and its gone away. Its a known and common problem it would seem. Good luck!
  9. No worries easy. I don't think I have used the jets myself Fanjita. I'm fairly sure they came off a bonnet that I had sprayed and I never used them. I can have a look at testing them when I'm next in the garage to see if they are all good but I'm fairly sure they are.
  10. Hi easy, I've looked at postage and I can send it for £25 posted. If you want it PM me some details and I'll get it in the post asap. Cheers.
  11. The indicator is a late one. I'll find out postage costs tomorrow for you.
  12. I have recently done a load of work rebuilding the front end of my Rado. I now have a selection of parts that were either left over or just generally hanging around in my garage that I'm going to sell to recoup some of the expense of the work I've done. All of the parts have come off cars and therefore are in used condition. Prices are not currently including postage costs. - 1.8 early bumper in blue --- £60 - 1.8 slam panel (with horns still attached but I don't know if they work) --- £30 - Headlight glass (I may have a few but will need to check - all are used but without any cracks..) --- £20 - Nearside indicator unit --- £20 - Windscreen washer pipes and jets --- £15 - Bonnet rubber/front seal --- £5 - Bonnet catch --- £5 - Slightly damaged front wing from a late VR (I don't know if this is any use to anyone but I might be possible to have it tidied up). --- £20 The smaller parts I am happy to post but larger ones I would rather have picked up. I'm located on the A27 at Worthing so very easy to find.
  13. I am looking for both headlights, I don't mind if you only have one, I am still interested. I only really need the plastic unit, I don't mind if there is no glass or bulbs etc and I have two headlights with broken clips so they don't actually screw into place anymore. Get in touch if you have some please!! Thanks, Simon

    front splitter

How much are they worth second hand in a useable condition? Someone has already called dibs on my spare but I have no clue what to ask for it...? If he doesn't want it then it will be up for sale on here too....
  15. I have had the parts to do this for AGES sitting in a folder upstairs. Just did it all in 20 minutes and have a fully working fan on all 4 settings. Fantastic!! For anyone who doubts how easy it is - I'm not confident to do much work on my own car yet but seriously give it a go!!
  16. Big thanks to StueyB for the indicator and fog lights and units. All went in perfectly and all just as described. Parts were with me in only a few days. Recommended. Simon ---------- Post added at 1:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:48 PM ---------- Thanks also to G60Knight. Provided me with a VR slam panel and wing. All in the condition described and arrived in good time. I finally have my C back on the road. Man how I've missed the noise as she winds up towards the top of the rev range!!!!!!!
  17. I think there is a difference early to late. Is it a VR?
  18. Haha ok no worries. I'll drop you a PM once I have it out of the garage and ready to see.
  19. I'm up on the main road (A27). My rado is off the road at the moment due to a small incident and I still have some paint and bits to sort out. I'll nip out and have a look if the spare splitter is any good and let you know this evening. Simon. ---------- Post added at 12:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:34 AM ---------- Upon closer inspection the splitter is cracked at one corner and not in as good a condition as I remember. I assume you are looking for something that will be as close to new as possible in terms of condition. This one is more like a second choice part. Let me know if you do still want to see it and I'll take it off the bumper its on next time I get into the garage properly. Simon
  20. Are there any more of these clean looking ones around? I need some too! Simon.
  21. Hello mate. I have one that's not in the best condition but I'm only over in Worthing. I can't remember off the top of my head how good it is but it is still in one piece and I don't think there are any serious cracks or anything. If you're interested let me know and I'll dig it out and see how it looks. Its from a 91 Valver but I think they are universal. No ideas what it's worth either!! Simon
  22. I'm still trying to get hold of a drivers side front wing and a slam panel. (for a 93 VR) Can anybody help?
  23. http://www.audivwparts.co.uk/www.audivwparts.co.uk/contact.php This is on the A27 between Worthing and Chichester. They don't have a lot of Corrado's in thankfully but usefull all the same!
  24. Hi, I need to get hold of the rad elbows. The parts are now obsolete so any old ones will do as long as they work! Thanks, Simon
