Front VR6 Badges, Red and Silver stickers
Roger Chatfield replied to Roger Chatfield's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Ok, Rob has now confirmed that the colour and fit for the red is good so I think we are now ready to place an order. Now Rob did say that maybe you should get a spare in case of a fitting error, sounds like a good idea but I'd say it's probably not needed, the sticker shop now has the correct artwork on their system and I now know the correct colours so I can get additional stickers printed up at any time, also I'll probably order up a few extras as I think there will be a small constant demand for these. Price...the original test pieces cost £5 each, future orders should be a bit less but I will have to add postage on top so I'm thinking if I still charge a fiver each then that should cover the postage, if there is any profit I'll donate it to the forum. I plan to place an order in the next few weeks so I think the best plan is for folk who want badge stickers to PM me for payment details etc. Rog. -
Type this into Google.... a long time ago in a galaxy far far away Rog.

You did a good job mate, thanks for the effort, this whole project would not have been possible without the art work. Rog. -
Front VR6 Badges, Red and Silver stickers

The sizing and image was spot on, its just that you used illustrator so the cutter actually sees it as loads of individual lines instead of one image so struggles to cut out the image clean, also there was an additional line on the top of the 6 that needed removing, no major dramas just needed a little tweak. Anyway he has the image now so it should reduce the price when we want more. Rog. -

Ok guys following on from Robs 'feeler' post.. Rob is really busy with work atm so I've picked up the baton for the time being. So today I went and saw the printer, there was a slight issue with the PDF file but that is now sorted. I've had a red and silver vinyl cut and I must say I've pleased with the results. I've fitted mine (silver) already. My badge before. Little sand down to remove a few lumps..the OE silver coating is very thin. First letter on, you can see how similar to OE it is. Finished result. And fitted. I'm very pleased with the way the silver has come out, I've sent the red to Rob for him to confirm the colour is correct, if he is happy I'll be ordering up a batch. So far these have cost me £5 each, they should come down a bit if I order enough so with postage I'm hoping to get these to your door for £5, any profit will be donated to the forum. EDIT (25/11/15) Rob has now confirmed that the red is good to go so we are ready to place an order. Price is £5 per sticker delivered to your door. PM me for payment details ect. Rog.

If you mean this wire. It does nothing, had the same problem with mine when I removed my front end, asked the forum and was told it's not needed. Rog.
-
I'm not sure what has happened here, are you saying you fitted the new engine and had it running, then when you fitted the front end the engine will now not start? Rog.
-
Hopefully you'll finally get to the bottom of your leak.

No, pumping makes no difference, TBH I'm thinking it may be normal, it bites about 2" from the floor which is the same as someone said earlier.
-
Just to add, I've realised that I've not bled the master cylinder, I've only done the slave so hopefully that might help. Also, I'm wondering if this is normal, is the bite point actually meant to be low. Rog.
-
I'd only for say 10mm, if anything it would cause the clutch to slip. I'm thinking that maybe a closed end tube that slips over the rod, I could then add shims inside the tube. It would be faff to keep removing the actuator to add the shims but I could then set the clutch bite just where I want it. Rog.
-
It's always done it, I've just bled it so hopefully it will be better. One thing I'm thinking about is removing the clutch actuator and adding some metal to the rod, maybe a sleeve that slips over the top of the rod. Rog.
-
I mean I have to push the pedal down a lot to get it to disengage and the bite point is low, towards the bottom of the travel. I may pull the pedal all the way up and hold it up with a strap and then bleed it, so if it makes a difference. Rog.
-
Is there a way of adjusting the VR clutch, mine has a very low bite point. Now I realise it's hydraulic so should not need adjusting but wondered if anyone had...? Rog.
-
Is that price correct...£103..

Cheer mate, I'll just have a look myself now that it's daylight, just didn't want to go out in the cold last night hence why I asked on here. Rog.

Evening chums, quick one for you. Does anyone know what size the interior lamp is, the festoon bulb. I think it's 38mm, I want to get a led replacement and need what size to order. Thanks Rog.

I wonder if they can be Aqua dipped? Rog.
