  1. I've posted it in the price check forum of Overclockers (I assume that's where you bought it anyway?). I'll copy any replies here if it gets any.
  2. Deffo looks like mains lighting circuit to me: brown is live, blue is neutral, yellow/green striped is earth.
  3. Maybe another course of action: Report it as a theft to the police?
  4. This thread reminds me of the years of my life spent playing Quake 2 and Quake 3 competitively.. This is still worth a play and is free: http://www.quakelive.com
  5. Jesus wept that's bad news if true. I think I might start stocking up on VR6 service parts too.
  6. Why not issue small claims court proceedings against him. It's cheap and you get to nominate which court he has to appear in... ie one local to you. It will cost him a lot to get there in both time and money.
  7. I'm not looking to buy. But for the benefit of others are the door pods the ones in the pictures? If so then they are audioscape pods (early style)
  8. It would have been worth more if it was still the original colour.
  9. I must amit I still get hankerings for my old mk2 16v. I had the rear wheel lifted on a roundabout on many occasions :)
  10. If it were me I'd wrap them in multiple layers of plastic and make sure there was an airtight seal.
  11. Tempted. I'll see whether the kids are interested in coming. Otherwise I'll probably be taking them swimming instead :(
  12. Similar symptoms to mine when the battery earth clamp was loose and occasionally moved slightly when going over a bump.
  13. I'm not falling out of love with mine but three things have happened recently that means I'm just not using it. Firstly I have quite a bit less money right now so my original plans for getting everything done on it have taken a real back seat; I simply don't have the funds now and it can no longer be a priority. Secondly my new mk6 is so much better in every respect that in the cold weather I grab those keys rather than the Corrado. Luckily it's tucked up inside the garage though and I still get that little skip of the heart when I go in there. Thirdly I was fairly ill last year and at the beginning of this year, and had a few operations (now fine) and nowadays I want to spend more time with my kids rather than spending time on cars. I really do think that the rubbish summer has had an effect of peoples moods and love of the car. It's a much nicer car to use in good weather and we've had very little of that. Still chuffing love mine though.
  14. Good work. I'm at work right now and certain sites are blocked. So I'll send payment tonight and confirm. Thanks.
  15. I can't face another labour government either. There is no viable choice now. Might have to vote UKIP next time but that's a wasted vote really.
  16. I'm sure my mk2 Scirocco had that hot/cold thing with the heaters. HOt air to the middle vents but cold to the outer vents... or was mine simply broked?
  17. Any label in the boot with the colour code on?
  18. Love mk1 Scirocco's. So much.
  19. I'm normally a supporter of the conservatives... but even I though that was a facepalm suggestion. It's totally nuts. To be honest I've just about given up with supporting any party now. They are all in it for themselves and most of them are simply career politicians.
  20. Agree with selling it. Keeping it costs money in tax and insurance. Breaking it takes time and effort. If you sell it whole then someone else can enjoy it.
  21. Now I have a new daily (mk6 GTI) I get into the Corrado and it feels old. New cars have moved on so far that they are simply more comfortable and easy to drive. But 10 minutes down the road in the Corrado and I'm grinning like a nutter again. It just feels different to everything else. I suspect a mk1 would just feel like an old Golf once the go-kartness has worn off. My first ever car was a mk1 1.3 Driver and I'd dearly love a good condition mk1 GTI. I've always loved my Golfs but never onwed a mk1 in GTI guise. However I think the Corrado is about as old as I'd like to go now. It's still new enough to be reliable and not need too much work, but old enough to be rare and a modern classic.
