Still avalible at tps . Around 75p each i think .

First port of call is to remove the door cards and check the hose to the connection . My bet is ,its not on properly and the air is escaping , so its not operating the locks .I recently worked on mine , sorting the window rollers and other bits . I put the doorcards back on and tried the central locking , the drivers side would not work , as the tube had been disturbed .

Hi all , I'm looking for the round plastic part that slips over the door pin and fits into the door card . I've tried VW heritage but they are no longer available . Anybody have a set ? Rob

Thanks Leon , will get these ordered tomorrow . Rob
-
Thanks Dougie , very kind of you . Diarmaid , that explains it now , I thought the plastic ones were replacement ones for the front , having never had any on the top I didn't know . Thankyou so much for your help everyone Rob

Thanks Dragon , i have metal retaining clips to hold them on at the moment . Really sorry but im getting a bit confused . At the moment as said i have retaining clips on the front and screws at each end to hold the scuttle . My concern is that you can lift it off the screen and see the water in the channel where the sreen stops , this seems like a rot and rust trap to me , so i was going to seal it to the screen ,so the water will run off the screen and onto the scuttle ,not underneath it . Rob

Thanks for all the replys guys. Kev , so the water will run Dow between and escape through the wings ?
-
Yes that's the ones Kev . Will have a look when I get home , I had clips before it went in for paint ! . There are two screws at either end as well. I thought the top had to be sealed to the screen ? . Is tiger seal ready available Jim ? Rob
-
Mmmmm going to check when I get home . They won't stop the water that runs down the screen though . If I lift it up you can see the bottom of the screen , am I right in saying that because it's bonded the water runs off ? Rob

As above , what do I use to stick the scuttle to the windscreen ? Many thanks Rob

Thanks Owen ,i wil try not to put my hand theough the head unit when it free's itself lol. I used plastic paint Sean , with a couple of coats of lacquer over the top . It looks fine to me , mine was a bit scetchy to be honest . Been looking for a while too mate , trouble is all of them are going to be worn . Rob EDIT thanks Dragon for the pics nice one , thanks for your info too Jim . Im off to attack it now .

Hi all , i cant seem to remove my handbrake grip ? , i thought there was some kind of clip to hold it on . The two bits of plastic at the opposite end to the release button look like they are broken . Ive got another one to fit that i have refurbed . Is it just tight or is there a knack to removing it ? Many thanks , Rob

Desperately trying to find the owner of a Corrado

First thing I would do is put a note In an envelope and leave it on the screen . If he wants to sell he knows who to call Rob -
Its a good job paint gets rubbed down James , otherwise my car would be longer n fatter than everbody elses !

Hi Sean , I've got my car back from the paint shop and I had to have the lips of the front arches done again as rust was beginning to show it's ugly head . I'm not teaching you to suck eggs but please make sure that when the arch liners are removed , that you ask them to do the usual stone chip , and then spray the inside as well as the lip and not just the lip . So it's sealed all in one and not stopping at the edge of the lip that you see . Some body shops do this and some don't . If your clued up , all well n good , just a heads up bud . Before she goes for paint Rob
