Thought I saw a post saying there not making them anymore ? Could be wrong . You may well have problems with them too ,I bought some a while back but didn't like them . They were supposed to be set up already , but the beam was all over the place and they did not have adjusters, so I had to remove the adjusters from my lights to get the correct beam pattern for an mot .

You may have dislodged a fuse when replacing the window motor one ?

Just seen this , i was going to say check the fuse . I would have thought the locking issue is a leak in the vacuum hose . Check that its tight ,otherwise when the pump operates the air will be leaking out and therefore not shutting the locks down .

Had a suprise visit today from the auto electrican who came last time. The car did start when we turned it over before we did anything .But then failed to start after that . After bridging and testing ecu relay, he found a dodgy earth which has something to do with the relay , other than that and moisture in the dizzy cap ,he could not find anything in the two hours he was here . The car is starting at the moment but ive been here before so im not saying its fixed . He was dissapointed he could not find exactly what the fault was .So now all i can do is try and start the car as often as i can and prey it keeps starting . Alright alright i hear ya ! . Thanks for the comments it means alot . Im off to argos to get a dehumidifier , it will only be a small one as they are alot of dough for a decent one , will just have to keep emptying it . I forgot i had a oner for xmas . So i dont know weather to spend it on an auto elecrician for an hours work or go to someone i know and get an ecu , coil and a dizzy, fit them an hope for the best . I dont want it to be the ecu as mine is chipped so i will loose that . Someone who looked at the car last time said he knew of two vr's and they didnt rev as quickly as mine , he said it was very responsive compared to theirs. Im not sure if the chip is the reason for this ?. Rob

New membrane fitted , tomorrow i will have a dehumidifier to put inside the car and start drying it out .

Yes they will fit , early lights are set back slightly more than the crossover which was around 93 .

That was my concern Vag-Hag , my ecu would not be able to read and power a coil pack engine . Thanks Rob

I have given my ecu to robvr to see if his car will start using my ecu . Before plugging it in ,with mine being a 92 and robs car being a 94 [coil pack ]not dizzy , will any damage be done to robs car or my ecu ?. May be it wont start because my ecu is not as updated as a later car ?. Thought i would throw up the question before we fry the electrics ! Many thanks Rob

Got all the plastics off and removed the sound deadening this morning and proped up the carpets . Everything is absolutely soaked !.I am going to have a long hard think over the weekend and decide weather its worth keeping the car any longer .Ive owned it for nearly seven years now and its always had what it needs doing to it ,but its getting to the stage where i dont know if i can be bothered any more . Obviously as we all know its very hard to sell a corrado atm , let alone a non starter ,but i just dont have the money right now to spend on it getting looked at and then replacing what ever parts it needs and i cant stand seeing it sat on the driveway in bits .Im not going to jump the gun and make a rash decision ,but if it comes to it i may have to break it , i would get more money that way .Then think about buying something more modern like an r32 . Sad and confusing times at the moment , theres always that thought in your head of how much you love the car , but as i said its starting to really get me down . Rob

Thanks mate , i did have a full bra and tbh i would not bother again . Aside the hassle of putting it on each time you go out on a journey and taking it back off again , they do mark the paint . The problem is that they have to be tight to stop it flaping around so you have to pull it around to get it straight to line up with the lights and grill etc, this rubs the paint . In the end i sold it .

Very kind offer of help Rog thanks I will let you know . We ran out of time the last time we looked at it . We think it's the ecu but not sure , I've rang him a few times as he was booked in to have another look but failed to show , but it was raining . I don't want to send the ecu off till I know for Definate it's shot , otherwise I'm spending more on parts I don't need to again . So until I get an auto electrician around she will sit on the drive .this car is really trying my patience now !

Well tomorrow if it actually stops raining i will get to spend some time on the car . Before i start again ,trying to find the non start, start when i feel like it problem , i have to remove the passenger seat and get the sodden carpets sorted . All this rain has finaly made its way in through the passenger door . Guessing the membrane needs looking at . Really going to have to force myself to do this ,tbh theres not much love there at the moment . Its a case of having to work on it ,when it should be a case of looking forward to spending some time on it .

Shame I couldn't get there. Mind you the state I was in , in the morning ! . Me neck and shoulders gave out , I was in agony . Got an appointment , two hour massage ! Very sore now but hopefully sorted for Xmas .
