    My mates were on their way to work , the passenger looks up and says '' look at the skirt on that schoolgirl you wouldnt think her dad would let her wear that ''. The bloke behind was so busy looking he didnt see them stop at a roundabout . he smashed right into the back of them , thing was he was delivering a car back from the body shop to a customer !!! He was only young bet he got ripped a new ars=hole

    There was a thread about this a few months back , if you type it into the search there will be info on it . Fitting i guess will be a snag , after market stuff might look good in a magazine , but rarely fits on just like that .

    Depends on what was done on the last sevice . If you dont know , i would do the usual , oil and filter , plugs , fuel filter, coolant etc . Also do you know if the chains have been done ?. Break pads and disks worth checking , ignition leads may need looking at as well .

    If you have a spare £325 k !.Its the prototype from 1973 , i remember me mate having a stratos when we were younger , always liked them .

    Didnt want to start anothr thread so i will put it here . Been looking online for prices and saw vdub machine has calipers by pagid , anyone know if these are any good , i know they have been stripped and reconditioned ,but do they hold their weight against oem ? Rob

    Have read through the posts on whats needed , but some of it im not sure of . I have goodridge hoses , i take it even though they are up graded they still wont fit the golf calipers ?. As far as i can see i just need the calipers and mabe the pins as well , Carriers are optional as are handbreak cables . Also read about pipes being a pain and would be better with new lines ? Thanks in advance for any help .Rob
