Regards Rob Edit i did go back again to the car put more fuel in just in case of sketchy reading off of gage , slid back the metal clasp that holds the fuel pipe onto the rail and fuel is present Also checked for spark again ,unless i need to go to specsavers i cant see one , lol.

Hi volks , no there is no spark from the plug ,was the first test i did, as said above i have a fuel saving device on the side of the head , have partly removed a pipe and its squirtin out fuel .I do have an after market alarm with immobiliser ,if the alarm has not been used ,you have to press the small fob button otherwise the ignition comes on and thats it ,she wont crank. Ok battery fully charged 109 relay changed for matts [which we know works] and we still have didly squot.

Hi mate the battery is now flat ,need to get it out and on charge . Never measured volts n stuff . Not sure what comes up with vagcom ,which parts ? and what does not . Trying to eleminate things as i go . regards Rob

Well fitted matts 109 relay and she still wont start . Another part to tick off the list , but i am getting very frustrated by this .

well as i say the only one that came up was the speed sensor. Was not sure if relays came up? thought they would being electrical. The electrician said the coil would have a burn like mark on it ,when they go ? . I really dont know !. Thats where i run into problems . Hi fla not sure what is ment by bridging to test a fault ?. Ignition switch is the new black one so should be ok . There is no spark , held the plug on the head and there was nothing .As for the fuel i have one of those fuel savers on the side of the block , i slowly slid the pipe off and the fuel was spurting out . Mabe the ecu relay is the problem . He did say the ecu was coming up but they do that because you are crankin it over n over ? dont know bout this ? but he said he was not worried bout it and doubted the ecu had gone , Regards rob .

Did not want to put this in me members bit in case it got missed . following what rw1 has put in my gallery bit , yes the c was cranked and according to the auto electrician tested properly . The only fault that came up was the speed sensor . Put the new one in today and it still wont start !. Need some more help please ,where do i go from here ??? The only clue i have is what ever it is that has broken has taken a while to give up , was told the coil normally will just go and not break down slowly . Help needed please .Regards rob

Hi fla , have already got the part being delivered tommorow morning . I dont know much about the electrics on the c . As i said vagcom showed the fault code for the crank sensor ? . When i spoke to him he said they will not die straight away they work intermediately then finaly go . These were the symptoms i had , sometimes she would fire first turn of the key ,other times it would take 4-5 cranks to start.You could be right i really dont know ,thanks for the offer of your one mate . I will be fitting new one on sunday , hope she starts !. Regards rob

Bummer bout the roadster mate , bet the holiday cheered you up a bit though. Well the c was vagcomed today and the part that has given me the problem is................the crank senser .Nothing else came up apart from the ecu but he said it was only coming up because it was not firing and they do that ?. So i rang tps for the senser, holy s!!t £98.00 !!. Hope this is the end of it now . regards rob

No links sorry mate . Try revs west in paignton devon on the net . As jim says the halfords one is ok aswel , i had one before the one i have now and it fitted fine . Cant remember if it covered the wheels or not though .

Its been a while ,there are some nice polishin pics a few posts back .I have a problem of no spark atm , cleaned leads , new plugs , new dizzy cap and rotor arm . Thanks to rw1 im armed with the info to sort the coil if it is the coil. Main problem is i dont have a meter to test the coil . I have called many auto electricians but they are to busy or not interested . Today i got hold of someone with a vagcom who is an auto man but lives miles away . Hope to have the problem sorted on thursday if he turns up!. I hope it is not the coil and the amplifier as between them they add up to over £250.00 !. Could be the crank senser which is £48.00,or the dizzy itself which is obsolete now , but again thanks to rw1 who gave me a heads up on a place which refurbs yours with bosh parts for around £90.00 .Hope to get this sorted this week as the c is in me mates drive and need to get her home and in the garage ! regards Rob

Got mine from revs west .Is big enough to cover the wheels and fits right under the front splitter and right under the rear valance. Its water proof and has two ventilation pockets front and rear . There are plastic ringlets at the bottom so you can put a bungey cord underneath the car if the old wind gets up . regards rob .

Comin on well , your a brave man lol. Mine had a full respray last year and i have two small chips ,but theres no way im goin near it with any grit paper lol.

As above please , my vr is being tested tommorow and its either the coil or the dizzy . Just putting out the feelers now as the way my luck runs it will be the dizzy and they are now obsolete !!!, anyone got one ? .Many thanks , Rob

Just thought i would mention as someone else has about the kids . my kids always want me to pick them up in the c ,they love the car it always makes me proud how they treat the car [not that my car comes before my kids ] , they even get out without treading on the door seal where the corrado strip is !.

You will find a long list of people like that on here !. If i have a problem and chris or matt comes over its fine they both have corrado's, they treat it the same as their own . The problem is we live in a throw away society ,people have cars and fair enough its just a car it gets them from a,to ,b . If you are not into cars classic or otherwise you wont see them in the same light as we do . I remember nath who sold his vr to karl , used to park his car at tesco where he works and take up two spaces to avoid dents lol . They used to go mad at him sayin ''its just a car '' .
