just ordered new roof rail rubbers , £53.00 each + £3.00 for the end plastics ....ouch . Was told prices at vw were goin up on monday obviously that has to be passed on to tps , then on to us .

I have two seals to replace to sort oil leaks . I have two sets of the plastic part that joins the door pin rods to fit .....can tell that is going to be a joy to fit ! at the same time i need to fit the window rollers , change the drivers side glass as its scratched . mine was doing the same , i replaced all three senders [ you know if you only replace one , one of the others will go a week later lol]. And the sender in the rad ,all is fine now .

same problem with mine . The overrun would not work .I replaced all the sensers, rad senser as well also because the fans were cutting in at the right temp but not cutting out until i turned off the engine, if i restarted straight away then it was back to normal , my overun now works strange yours dont .You havent mentioned the third senser ? mabe need to replace that one aswell Have a look back through the cooling guide to see what controls the overun .regards rob

Thanks for that , along with alot of c's mine are faded with the sun and the drivers side doorpull is covered in scraches from other people opening the door with their keys in hand . Agree with the satin after i found my vr brochure looks more satin than a glossy finish . regards rob

Just wanted to know what finish the door plastics , pillars etc came in when the c was new ?. Mine are a bit tired and i want to spray them back to how they were. I did some door pulls the other day with a gloss finish ?, looked a bit stark. Was gloss how they came or was it more of a satin finish ?. regards rob .

they also go stiff and difficult to move when the cogs inside the heater control break . This is what happend to mine . If you find that problem you will have to find a breaker to aquire one . Dont try to fit one off a polo or anything like that , they have reversed the snail like pattern on the cog [gits].

hope you put some sealer on the thread , i didnt, mine is tight but is leakin coolant . Will be doing it next week .
