i had jetex cat system fitted about a year ago , there was a knocking noise , when i had a look there was an extra hook for a bracket that is not on the vr?. found it strange considering its made for the car.

not sure but i think mattvr has these in his ,im sure he will see this and give you a heads up :)

i like it each to there own i spose. dont know bout the others but karmann one as said was 1995 near the end of production anyway .it was proberbly to costly tbh considering our beloved cars were a flop and two expensive they didnt bother.

i was told that the spare wheel came in the form of the thin nasty one that looks like it came off a citroen dolly. and the full size wheel was an extra ?dont know if thats true or not .

if you need runners you will need complete cassette ,doubt anyone breaking a c would just sell the runners. all parts are now obselete :(

can someone tell me what they charge as an hourly rate please. need to get my sunroof in ,i have rung recomended people and they wont touch it! .looks like ive got to get them to fit it .thanks rob

ok my sunroof was taken off the cassette when i had my respray. we fitted it back together it looked nice and true and inline. a few goes up n down backwards n forwards it was fine ,then it jamned scrached new paint [not bad] .we then found a metal runner piece had broken ,parts obselete now so i got a cassette off of goosey. is there anyone near southwest prepared to help to fit properly ,or should i book it in to my local vw garage bite the bullet and deal with the cost of them doing it . nate who i put it in with is worried about putting it in again and to be honest i dont blame him!! the look on his face when it scratched the paint was like we had just shot someone!!! .opinions please ,thanks rob

seen as they are hydro cams ,they do tap when first started [cold] mine does and within seconds the oil is pumped to the top and its quiet .

mine looked like this a few weeks ago !! as for glove box its got to be one of the worst jobs :lol: apart from the dash bolts that are located under scuttle panel :cuckoo: they drove me insane trying to get them on!

hope all goes well mate .i used the other main company for my windscreen when i had my respray, see general chat today and build thread. not a happy bunny! c looks sweeeet by the way.
