  1. Bum , did I get confused and post up the dizzy firing order ? . Edit yep sorry mate I did .
  2. The firing order is 1 5 3 6 2 4 . If I remember correctly bud .
  3. Hi Chris . The top cover with the curve on both ends and the two small joining strips and both sides , if you have it all in black please . My top strip has a broken tab on one end . I don't need the part that covers the wiper and spoiler motor ( I had the plastic twist screws off of you the other week) . As usual must be nice n clean with no broken tabs . Thanks mate Rob Edit , fixings would be great too .
  4. I new part of it was behind the door card lol . If it stopped when you fiddled with the switch , it maybe worth taking that out and looking at the connection there too ?
  5. I've just checked my box of polishes n stuff , it's poorboys I use on the interior not Technic . That's a fair amount of time to last for exterior use Sean , pretty good going really .
  6. Hi Chris , do you have the plastic cover that fits across the tailgate , above the hinges ? . It butts up to the rear screen . It's fitted with plastic clips and four metal ones as well . Thanks dude . Rob
  7. Good news that you have narrowed it down . Very wise to check the pressure first , to find the fault . The pump is not cheap and nor is the regulator for what it is . What year did you say the car was ?
  8. I could be wrong , but I doubt it's the heated seats . There's no motor . I have yet to wire mine up , but I'm sure it's just a loom and a relay under the drivers seat , that's what my old 911 set up was anyway . I can't remember from stripping my interior , it was a long time ago , but is the central locking pump situated behind the rear door card ?.
  9. The fuel pump is close . That is usually the cause of the whining sound .
  10. Nice one Chuggs .I use the interior Technic and think it's a good product . Let's hope it fairs well in the heat too .
  11. It will be interesting to see how the Technic holds up . I bought new trims and end caps around three years ago , they have faded a little . It would be nice to use a product you know ,that is not going to produce black marks running down the bodywork , on the first wash or when it rains .
  12. Yep your right there . What i should do is not only replace the broken part but everthing else thats in a few feet of it . Then i would not have to remove the same cover part off 6 times to get to it .
  13. It's the guide that's worn , it's bonded to the glass ok . Must be worn out with 25 years of use . I have the part no from heritage . I used the proper butty tape , I use it at work all the time . I've just jet washed the car and had no leaks so far . So that's good .
  14. Thanks for the comments chaps . I'm tackling some more jobs today, I hope it goes better than yesterday . I also noticed yesterday I have a few rust bubbles , one on the roof , a small scab on the side of the boot and the usual wiper scab . I my just roll it off of Berry Head today lol .
  15. Big thanks to Chris and Rado Steve for my parts , both here in rapid time . Rob
  16. I thought i would take a saturday off for once and try and spend some time correcting the faults on my car .With new scrapers and window rollers , i thought my rattly window problems were over ,but no . A few weeks later both a rattling [along with everything else on in the car]. I had to remove the doorcards anyway because the front passenger and rear speakers had blown , i dont play loud music im to old , i think they had just had their day . I found that the plastic guide that fits to the guide rail and bonds to the glass is worn ,so by pushing the glass you can see it moving in its guide . Hence when you drive over the raised yellow warning markers on the road both are banging around driving me up the wall . I managed to get some tape onto the bottom of the rail and stop it from rattling . Then i fitted new membrane which leaked and leaked and leaked , no matter how much it was sealed with butty tape . Its still slightly dribbling now .Those doorcards have been off more times than i can remember, for different reasons , i hate the poxy things . Time to walk away i thought . Ive spent a small fortune on this car and feel like ive got no where . My dough would have been better spent installing a sub and turning it up so i cant here any rattles and squeaks . Its so frustrating that this has taken nearly all day and its still not right . With that and my starting problem returning too. If i had a lockup i would not hesitate to park it up and strip that car to the bare bones and start again , no matter how long it took me . Maybe im to fussy ? maybe i should except its 25 years old and have done with it . Sorry for the rant . Sometimes you have to vent your spleen .
  17. Stick a rag in the petrol tank light it and walk away . I get so frustrated with my car , trying so hard to put things right , to make it how I want it and how it should be . Que the Basil fawlty moment . " right you've really done it this time , I'm going to give you a damn good thrashing ".
  18. I've read in the search that the scrapper has to be removed in order to get the window out . Is there any way if doing this without removing it ? . I have a rattle coming from the glass hitting the metal guide that runs up the 'b' pillar . There is a plastic part that is stuck to the glass , this then sits in the metal guide . When you bang the door this is vibrating on the glass . I need to get something behind it to stop the two making contact . I don't want to remove the scraper , they are brand new , if it bends I will cry ! . Any info is appreciated Rob
  19. I'm guessing your talking about the multi plug ? .
  20. Just tried and it still just shakes from side to side in a fast movement . I think I will have to take it back tomorrow and let them sort it .
  21. Evening all . I've just got my Mac book back from an apple repair shop . I've had the hard drive replaced and new virus software installed . They rang me to ask for the pass word , which I told them . When I got it back it opened up straight away . I had problems reconnecting to our router but got there eventually , ( I'm not that good with computers ) . I then let it close on it's own accord , when I was doing something else . I clicked it open and it asked for my pass word . I typed it in and it just judders from side to side and won't let me in . Any ideas ? Kind regards Rob
  22. I would have thought it was the same ISV . Someone will correct me if I'm wrong .
  23. Put up a pic of how far you have got and of the plastic part . People will be able to help you from there . I have to do the same job on mine in the winter .
