  1. Great another part gone . A set came up about a year ago on here . They were sold within five minuets !.
  2. May be worth checking with Heritage Rog. There are two types . One with corrado script for earlier cars and one without which I believe should be on yours . They may be able to source a set from Germany ?.
  3. Looks like I have sorted it now . Fingers crossed . I managed to remove the screws , clean it all up , put a silicone seal underneath and put it back on the car .The captive nuts stayed put , so I was lucky . I'm going to leave it for a day before testing it for leaks . The rubber was in excellent condition Chris , so I should be ok for parts mate , thank you . Rob
  4. Thanks for the offering of the bolts Rog , that's very kind of you . You just know they are going to break . There is no way of stopping the leak , without removing that part though .
  5. Morning all . I've just removed my spoiler as I have water leaking into the boot . I can see the water coming in from where the plastic triangle part fits to the body on the inside. Two questions . I'm well aware of the captive nuts breaking when you remove the two screws from the top . If they do go can I glue them back when refitting ?.also if I can no longer get the seal that fits on the top shall I put some sealant under it before refitting it back in place . I can't see any other way of sorting the leak . Rob .
  6. Have you replaced the sender to the ECU ? . The sender had gone on my car . There was no fast idle on start up . When it was tested it was reading 74 d , all the time , therefore sending the wrong signal . As above check for splits in the hoses .
  7. Great work going on here , well done . As Mic says a dry space to work is the key . Im desperate to start mine . Keep up the good work .
  8. If you are a contortionist you can do it with the dash in . It's not easy though . The best way is to set aside a weekend . Remove the dash and old matrix , on Saturday , make a start Friday night if you want , get a head start .Then refit the dash and other parts on Sunday .
  9. Wish I had the dough for these Rog . Would go well with my superchip and pack A head .
  10. Any chance you have the underside heat shields to Chris ?
  11. Under side heat shields please . Price to post . Thank you .
  12. Edit . Yeah my bearings are Meyle .
  13. I bought the Sterex parts for mine . From Vedubmachine . Also German parts . I've always thought as long as it's made in Germany it should be good quality . They also sell oem parts . I ordered a big batch of stuff a few months ago and most of it had VW Audi stamp on it .
  14. It took me ages to find one too . Goldust .
  15. Well said . Its about time these cars are recognised for what they are . Like the hampster said , when VW built this car they new what they were doing . It is true , i know its down to the seller , but these cars do sell way to cheap .
  16. Rocking horse poo springs to mind lol . They break easily and are quite hard to find . Give Chris (lilfuzzer) a pm , or post on his breaking thread , he may well have one for you ,
  17. Welcome along to the forum . I use photobucket for posting pics . Or use the search on here and it will tell you other ways .
  18. Not too bad Rog . Could have been worse . Nasty 6 points though .

  20. I think he just liked playing , I'm a big boy manager , Rog . I'm still mad ! .
