  1. hi everyone ive got a turbo technics corrado. I bought it then sent it into vince at stealth racing and had everything done. HERE IS A LIST 1. Full engine rebuild, bored to a 1900. (this includes new crank rods all bearings new pistons and rings) 2. New water,oil pumps + alternator + starter motor 3. Turbo recon 4. Gearbox recon and Quaff limited slipp diff fitted 5. Cylender head recon and gas flowed P&P along with the 50mm inlet manifold 6. ERL Aqua mist water injection kit fitted 7. Blue samco hose and ignition leads fitted 8. Full respray in black by Greg howel 9. Vr6 bonnet all new door,window,sunroof etc seal's 10. bumper strips taken off doors 11. lowerd 40mm, fast road pad all round new vented and drilled front disc's Think thats about it the car has done 98k but the rebuild and all the work was at 90k recipts to prove, the oil and filter get changed every 3k just wondering has much u recon its worth
  2. i had a problem the same but it only did it wen it was cold. it was the starter motor was full of gunk and stuff just remove it and clean it with brake cleaner or buy a new one then find out when you take the old one off like i did that it just needs cleanin. lol

    track car

    hi all been lookin in old posts to try and find this out, I have just bought a mk 2 golf 1.8gti 8v which has been a trackcar. What kind of mods can i do to this engine and what power can i get out of it i dont mind about poor idleing and thing like that cos its for track use only, but without forced induction. Got a turbo technics 16v corrado but also got my old standard 16v corrado on the drive doin nothin and i need to get rid of it quick do you think the 16v engine in this whould make a better track car engine. any help or advise needed cheers. :lol:

  7. vince has said for a custom made fuel rail and for the motec dta management system fitted with all parts its gonna be £2300 + VAT best get saving supposed to be doing a trackday in june
  8. i no ive spoke to vince he has got a fuel rail in the shop that will fit straight on. but he is talking thousands for it and i aint got the money right now could do with something i can do and just get map'd
  9. the injectors in the abf system can only flow 200BHP how much to map it do you recon. and can i still use the standard ECU

  11. is it a 16 v i had a problem like this that took my ages to find. sometimes even whils driving in gear the revs would shoot up and down and sometimes the engine would die and would not start if a went back an hour later it would start fine it turned out to be the distrobutor, it has a kind of crank sensor on it that tells every thin wwhat position the engine is in and when to fire so sometimes it would not work sometimes it would give it wrong info i think it was about £120 exchange from euro parts ??
  12. hi all been on a few times now about this subject i bought a turbo 1.8 16v raddo that had expierd sent it to stealth who fully rebuilt the engine boreing it to a 1.9 rebuilding the head and gas flowing and P&P recon the turbo and gearbox adding a limited slip diff that sent it for a respray. Now basically i need i different fuel setup the 16v turbo corrado uses the standard fuel system and a 5th injector. Vince at stealth has got specially made fuel rail for my car but having already spent over 10k on the car im running low on cash and this method is a very expensive one. I need something that is reasonable cheap to buy that i can put on myself then just send it to stealth to get map'd. ive heard something about using the G60 system anybody now how to do this or go any other ideas. cheers
  13. STEALTH DID ALL THE WORK ON IT YOU CANNOT GET THE K-STAR MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS TO RUN THE INJECTORS ANY OTHER IDEAS.
  14. hi there ive got i turbo technics corrado had it fully rebuilt including head, Gas folwd p&p bored to a 1900. The turbo runs at 0.45 and 0.60 bar but it suposadly can only run this because the fuling system can only fuel it up that. it rund the standard 1.816v fuel system but has a 5th injector in the throttel body. I have been told that there is a cold start injector on these engines would it be possible to map this injector if so how. if not does anybody have any ideas what else i can do cheers

  17. hi all not sure how this is gonna work out at the mo but i am trying to organise a meeting for all VW owners in the NW and get it covered by perfomance VW, the meet wil probable take place in manchester somewhere not found a venue as of yet but would people who are intereasted please leave a note so i can get an idea of how many people whould show. cheers
  18. hi you only need to polish the exhaust side, this is to prevent carbon from sticking to it. the inlet side simply needs to be smooth so there is no restrictions to the air flow. go to http://www.sa-motorsports.com/diyport.shtm there is a step by step guide and pictures and you can by a kit of them to complete the work but i found it cheaper to go elsewhere

  20. ive been told that the K Starr piggyback management ECU is no longer in production do you where i could get hold of one and how much would it cost.

  22. Ive not got a clue i dont think it has an adjustable boost valve on it its set but i dont no what psi i kicks out
