Thanks Sean. I've not noticed water in either of the footwells to be honest and i'm not having to top up the coolant everyday, or even every week so it's not a massive leak, if that's what it is. Obviously the water/anti-freeze is finding it's way out of the car somewhere else.

Apologies for dragging this up again, but this has started happening again! Growlz!! This is definitely coming up through the air vents to the windscreen and also through the vents to the door glass and it's driving me crackers. I've checked for coolant leak in the cabin, particularly the passenger seat footwell and it's as dry as a bone. Is there anywhere else coolant can go if there's a leak in the heater matrix other than the passenger seat footwell? Thinking i'm going to have to bite the bullet and get a new one fitted......

I'll have a pair Jim. Please PM your paypal details. Thanks. -
I didn't like the Bosch fittings on the blades - which are the type i replaced with these. The Bosch fitment was a bit too bulky.

Just popped a pair of these on to the Corrado, and they are perfect.

If any of you have the Lupo GTi wiper conversion, there's a company on eBay selling the pin attachement aero blades (19 inchers) for GBP8.95/pair with free P and P. Two sets of these have just arrived and they look to be perfect..... and a hell of a lot cheaper than getting them from the VW Stealers. :thumbleft: :thumbleft: There's a guy there called Nathan - message him for two 19 inch blades with your purchase, and he'll see to it. Cheers!

Sneaked out of the front door at my sisters christmas evening for a crafty cigarette, only to find a guy in another Corrado sat outside looking at mine. His is a midnight blue pearl like mine but the 2.0L 16V version.I told him about here, and hopefully he'll join up. Seemed like a nice guy and he's only had his Corrado for 6 weeks!!

Mine tends to do this in the colder weather. During the Summer, it's fine!!
-
Agree with this - mine is doing exactly the same!!

Returned for refund.

Was sent the wrong size from an eBay purchase - so just looking to recoup. Brand new pair of 288 discs - GBP48.00 plus whatever the postage is, unless you want to collect / meet halfway etc. Located in Shepperton middlesex. Cheers :thumbleft:

Thanks Sean, apprecaite your reply. Looks like i'm going to have to return them.
-
Can someone look at post #18 on page 2....... the discs i've bought look to be 288's - are these a straight swap for the 280's which are on the car now? Thanks.
-
Exactly!! All the best with it!! :)

Hmmm..... this time of year, i'd probably go for a Norfolk Bronze......... gobble gobble gobble!!! :)

Senor Corrado creamed the MOT again this year!! Just two rubber steering rack gaitors required and the job was a good'un!! Re the braking problem - 2 Pagid discs arrived this morning, along with a caliper service kit from Big Redd. My mate is sourcing 'upper crust' brake pads for me and they all go on at the weekend. If this don't fix it, i'll go to the foot of our stairs!!
-
Hello Roger, thanks for the above. This goes a long way explaining what's happening and i think you may have hit the nail firmly on the head. I'm not sure if my garage just replaces the discs every time, pretty sure they do. Maybe closer inspection tothe calipers are required when i get the new discs done. Once again, many thanks for the info. Most helpful.

Mine went yesterday morning as well. Can't grumble, it's been on there at least 16 years!! New small linkage part ordered from VW Heritage - they now have two left in stock and the part is now discontinued. Just though i'd let y'all know. Cheers.
-
I've got my sights on some Pagid discs for the end of the month.
-
This is good to know..... thanks.

Is 280mm the 'norm' then??

I honestly have no idea! I'm not sounding very good at this am I??
