Ah, my pet peeve. Rip off insurance merchants. Any excuse to hike up a premium - even when it's not your fault. I'm 57 years old, i drive a car not worth 2.5K, i've held a full licence since 1972 and i have maximum NCB. I should be paying NOWT for insurance!! Sadly, as Portent says, these companies are driven by statistics. I pref to call it being driven by b*ll**ks. :)

Having some routine maintenance done today (brake pads, a good lubing all round, handbrake adjustment, plugs etc) and my garage guy has just called me about something called Terraclean. Apparently, they hook up what looks like an Air Con regasser to your car's fuel system and this stuff burns off every trace of carbon deposits out of your engine. You get all your BHP back that the engine has lost over the years, your running and idling is noticeable smoother and all for the same cost of replacing the Spark plugs. GET IN THERE!!! Will have mon beastie back this evening. Will of course provide a full report/opinions. :)

Anyone in Bay Area, CA that can pre-view a corrado w me?
VR-Sixy replied to Produce's topic in General Car Chat
Ya beat me to it!! -
Hello Jim, i had almost idential work done to my Corrado back in April/May. Although i had the tail-gate resprayed and well. There was a lot of rust on the arches and the bottom of the wings and the guy who did mine, did all this for GBP1200 which is about what i was expecting. If you look at my Major Tart-Up thread, you can see everything how it was, and how it is now....... Happy to pass this guys details on to you, but he's very local to me, and i notice you're in Warwickshire.

I have a Kenwood KDC BT41U fitted. Has a nice Blue display which goes nicely with my dash lights as these were changed from Green to Blue a little while back. The BT connection pairs up with your phone very easily and the call quality is good. It's not so hot using the built in head-unit mic, so the awfully nice people at Kenwood sent me a complimentary external mic to use with it. Have to say i'm very pleased with it. :)

What number is the ECU relay?

Made a point of listening really carefully starting up for the drive home from work. Not a dickie bird. Lifted the bonnet when i got home and again, so suspicious ticking noise. Hmmmm.... curiouser and curiouser.

Neither have been replaced in my ownership...... well, not to my knowledge.
