A couple of days ago, i thought i heard a ticking noise when starting up for the first time in the morning. Didn't think anything of it as it was fine over the weekend. This morning there was a definite ticking noise as i was turning the engline over. It was coming from the right of the steering wheel but i couldn't tell if it was something behind the dashboard (unlikely?) or from under the bonnet. While this was happening, the engine wouldn't fire, it was just turning over. When i stopped and tried a second time, the 'ticking' stopped and fired up immediately. Really at a loss as to what this could be...... wondering if anyone else has had this particular mystery and what it turned out to be. Thanks as always.... :thumbleft:

[h=2]considering trading the corrado in for a golf vr6 ........[/h]Heracy!! Off with his head!! :) -
Is it just me or is the Corrado "on par" with newer cars ?

Having just smartened up my C over the last couple of months, i really couldn't give a rats about newer, higher performance/spec cars. I still get a charge driving the little beastie some 11 years since getting it, and now that it's looking just as smart as it did when i first got it, even more so!! Enough said! :) -
Roy C - Shotgun Wedding. Alice Cooper - Only Women Bleed. The Shirelles - Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow. Tammy Wynette - D-I-V-O-R-C-E. Prodigy - Smack my B*tch up.

Woof!! That interior is a bit special! Oh to find one up for grabs as good as that - just the interior mind, not he entire car!

Re-stuck the trim near the bottom of the driver-side wing as it had become a little loose after the recent tart-up. One piece of 1/8 inch foam tape on theback of it and that was sorted. Then I tackled the door check strap, pin... whatever it's called, as my driver side one has been broken for ages. Not a too bad a job considering - just a little over an hour to replace it. The door card came off easier than i thought it would, so that was a big relief. What is that strange looking piece of plastic that the end of the door strap/pin fits into? I managed to get it out, but I couldn't for the life of me get it back in again!! I closed the door to see if anything was untoward but the window goes up and down OK when the door is open and closed, so I don't think it's going to be a problem. Got the door card back on with all the electrics present and correct, so there's one happy bunny here with a garage bill saved. :)
