No doubt, that GTR is some car for the money :) mmmmmm... Veyron :luvlove:

Where I live its very hard to get anything other than regular 95 RON, so I'm always on the look out for good off the shelf additives. The thing is usually there is no information/guidelines on how much the RON will increase if indeed it boosts it at all. anyone know of a good additive I can buy?

love the Old Skool look the Borbets give. Think that's where I'm going wrong, I've always tried to modernise the look of my C. I think now that the Old Skool look suits the C better Back to the drawing board :)

many cars have been painted yellow but it never worked like it does on a Nugget Yellow Rado 8)

I agree, the car doesn't know (or need to know) its being more efficient... it just is

When I get it on the road I'll be able to take it out somewhere & get a few pics with a nice background. The eyebrow is fitted using Velcro so its easy to take off for a pic. I know the CF effect is not to everyones taste & tbh its probably only still on because I know how quick I can remove it. When it comes off, it'll be staying off... but it's alright for now :)

First pic after nearly four years in storage... This is my favourite pic of the moment cos its back on the road next week :D

Love those azev a's on the Corrado... are the front & rears different ofsets. If so what offsets are they?

Good stuff Ciaran... the more the merrier :D

I've seen this done before, the best way is to get another bumper and use the cut out to extend your existing one. This means that you will still have the contours that leave everything looking OE. The down side is that you need to get your hands on a secondhand bumper just to use a little piece of it
-
Yeah, well if you have the heart & the hands to break it then good luck to you. You will get a lot more for her that way
-
To answer your question as per topic, yes it looks a good deal :)

Just done a quick search & found out that, if your head gasket is gone then air will be getting into the system. If there's air in the system then you will get an air lock. An air lock will stop the coolant circulating. To check for circulation feel each hose on the radiator (one on top & one on bottom). Both hoses/pipes should be hot. If one is hot & one is cold then chances are you have an air lock. To fix this, loosen the coolant cap (NOT ALL THE WAY) a few threads when the car is heating up to release some air.

My neighbour has both a 'Pit' and a set of 'ramps' :D so I'm gonna try & fit them Monday... fingers crossed. Think I'll take some pics as well
-
not so good man... the head gasket isn't that big of a job. What exactly do you mean by 'the radiator doesn't work?
-
Thanks man, good advise... has given me the confidence to go ahead with it. I collected the 2 seals today from the dealer. have to call them dealer this time cos they only cost £6 :D

Did you consider filling in the back badge? I know it's not everybodys cup of tea but now would be the time to do it. You could also consider fitting a Transporter air vent on the front wing
-
Nice to know it is in good hands... They're hard to find these days
-
Deleted the rear wiper today :D Cleans the back up well & I can see much better out of the back window now.

what do you mean "fit over the oe springs"?? You can buy H&R lowering springs only that mate with the OE shocks... The springs determine your ride height and the shocks determine the comfort/stability. But as dukest pointed out those springs seem to be matched to those uprated shocks therefore prob wont work with your OE shocks. If you like the ride in your car now as it is then I would suggest that you just buy a set of H&r lowering springs and fit them over your own shocks. This will keep your ride quality as close as you possibly can to original but with a 30mm drop

Doing an excellent job there mate :salute: Love the wheels and the supercharger  I'm sure the bills are mounting up and you started with a engine in good shape. Imaging the extra costs if the engine had of needed work :pale:
-
Excellent job mate, it's looking really good. Nice to sort out all the little niggeley bits too like around where the cables come into the tailgate.
-
Well those shocks are uprated meaning that they will be a bit firmer. I think the H&R springs will fit over the OE springs which should give you the effect your after
-
Sorry to see that mate but at least you should have no probs with the Councils insurance. Maybe you could consider cutting out the exhaust surround & fitting it to your new bumber to give you twin outlets :) I saw this done on a rado I went to view one time 8)

Thanks daleyboy... nice clean & dry engine you have there :) Another thing, I assume it's better to take of the hose coming out of the radiator. Whats the best way to manage this task? Can you catch the coolant or does the coolant have to be replaced?
