Some pics from my phone... what H8RRA said will do the job however I just removed the back round cover to access the Phillips screw that allows the switching the lights from LHD to RHD. (with a little bit of difficulty)

The car failed its MOT btw for defective headlights. The MOT guy said that it was a great car apart from the lights. I've since got the adjuster problem sorted (I made one), took the car to ny local MOT garage to set the lights & he told me the lights were set to left hand drive. He also mentioned that on some Vectra's (oh I swore), there is a switch between left & right hand drive & was there any instructions came with the lights. Had to take the car home again, phoned Venom & the guy there told me that if I dissambled the lights that there was a phillips screw to loosen & then set the lights to either L or R hand drive, simple. So, today I had to take out the lights again, disassemble & look for the Phillips screw to change them from LHD to RHD. The thing is when I opened the back of the lights I could see 5 or 6 Phillips screws. Eventually spotted the right one, loosened it & switched the lights to RHD. Took the car back to my local MOT garage & managed to set the lights :) . Anyway, the car passed its MOT this evening :D :D :D . MOT disk for another year :D , now all I have to do is get it Taxed! ah well, time to move onto the next project... the feckin headlight switch (all the recent switching has finaly made the switch give up the ghost.)

I was gonna sell mine this Autumn, Then I fitted new in-pro headlights and done a few other little bits so, Its staying for another year at least. I;ve done 15,000 miles in it in four years so, the clock now reads 92,125. I'm dreading the big 100,000, a bit like when I turned thirty So I suppose the damn thing is now becoming a part of me.

I'd say the actual fitment could be sorted by making some 10mm spacers to push them out fairly flush although, they will never come out perfectly as the lamp surround (being the older mould) will prevent this. I'd say the best you could expect would be about 3mm shy off the grill. Again I could live with this, it's just the damn adjuster problem... anyone got any ideas? These lights come in a fancy box, they leave things like lamp adjusters off & theres NO INSTRUCTIONS. (Hate that) :mad:

Just got the new lights Today! Opened the box & first impressions were good. Offered them up to the car & things start to go downhill from here. I knew they wouldn't be flush fitting, as my cat is the later facelift model. I could live with that although would like to hear some ideas on how to bring them forward. The big problem is with the adjusters... In the new lamps there is just a spring sitting where the adjusters should be, I've read in another post that you have to swap over the adjusters from the old lamps. However when I tried to remove my old adjusters the plastic just disintegrated. To top it off, the adjuster doesn't look like it's going to work with the InPro lights anyway. My car is up for the MOT Tomorow so I need some help asap Thanks guys

You could be right. We use them everyday & so, are used with the correct distance to keep it from the glass. Remember you are only softening the adhesive not trying to burn the stuff off. You would need to be a bit careless to hold it in one position for long enough to damage the glass. Trust me they are the best tool for doing this job & I'd say a lot safer than taking any sort of scraper to the glass.

As mentioned by Dinkus If you can, use a heat gun (We uactually use a paint stripper gun), a hairdryer will do as well but will take a bit longer. Heat the film all over, this will soften the adhesive & should allow the film to come off in one go (i.e. without breaking). Then remove any left over gum using White Spirits on a tissue. The adhesive on the window film is oil based so the white spirit will desolve it & wont effect any paintwork on the car. It really is easy when you know how!

I didn't like much what he did with Jordan (in 91) as I was a big Jordan fan. because of that I did enjoy Hill, Villenuve & Hackinen beating him. Although over the years I could not deny him the respect he deserves. My opinion has changed so much towards him in the past two seasons that, I would love to see him winning his eigth title this year. Hi all, I've been away for a while (long story) so, not exactly up-to-speed on all the new developments on the Corrado scene. My car was in storage since last November and is now ready to go back on the road :D . It actually failed its MOT last year due to a defective passenger side headlamp so, I need to get that sorted before I MOT it again (on 6th September 2006). Basicially, I need to replace the complete headlamp as I can't get a replacement lens, a new headlamp will cost me approx. stg. 170.00. So, when looking for a new headlamp I came accross the 'inpro angle eyes'. I'm thinking now, would be a good time for me to buy a set of these 'Inpro's'. I've read through some of the posts but would like a quick answer to... are they an improvement over the standard lamps &, can I have a few supplier names so I can price around? Thanks, Darren

designrob, I was also advised to order some new clips & glass rubber seal as the clips can easily break when removing &, the old rubber seal may leak when re-fitted. Where/who did you order your lems from? Anyway, hope you get the correct glass & get it sorted... keep us posted

designrob, I think you may be right, & as Gavin says, our lights are not VAG. Even though it is 'E marked', & has 'Made in Germany' on it. My guess is that they are after market replacement lights for a LHD car. So do you think we can get away with replacing the glass/lens then?

My car failed the MOT due to a defective beam. My nearside light throws a beam which is low towards the hedge & high towards the middle of the road. My bulbs are fitted correctly, with uprated loom. The arrow points towards the hedge (left). There are no leaks & the lamp looks in perfect condition. The part No. is 001-141 095-01 This is the only failure the car has & is very frustrating. anyone got any more ideas as, I don't fancy paying 180.00 pounds for another one which may be the same. BTW. I tried to order a new reflector from VAG but, they are no longer available :(

I bought Audi A3 calipers, brake disks & Padid pads with approx 20,000 miles on e-bay for 21 pounds + P+P. The A3 calipers are the same part number as the M1V. I then bought the M11 to M1V brake hose connections from C + R for 26 pounds. I haven't got them fitted yet but the guy fitting them for me said they will fit. Supposed to get them fitted this week so, will keep you posted

Nothings perfect I know... I love the C, with all its faults. Even without a petrol 'warning light' or 'lights on' warning buzzer. My VR is due its MOT this month & all I need to do is... 1. Replace a cracked 'Fog light' 2. Replace the rear calipers 3. Fit a new 'ABS Sensor' I suppose its only a matter of time before I need new door handles 'lol'

The Corrado does carry a 'presence' with it, & does get looks from both real car enthusiasts & boy racers. Not sure about tinting my windows but. I do find myself driving with the sun visor down all the time.

IIRC you can buy 'window repair kits', you could try Halfords G60Dub, Also make sure you get a tinted window

You can thread your stick while its on the car (use a M12 Die) then cut off the top of the gearstick with a haccsaw... Very easy to do... it works, its quick & its free. Its up to you

I drove my mates RS Focus & I have to say It felt & handled almost identical to my VR6 (on koni coilovers, set at soft). It was like... I didn't have to even try to get used to the Focus. One big difference between the cars was the speed you change gear (for high performance). The VR6 stays in each gear much, much longer than the Focus, but I'd say on the road they would be evenly matched Must say... RS Focus...Respect, great car to drive

lol... My wife & I are expecting our first child in July so, the C has to move into 'the second most important thing in my life' :wink: Seriously, I am also considering the sale of my C... although it will be after the summer
