    Inpro Issues...

Mine are the same mate :( thankfully there are two more sidelights in the centre so no MOT issues. I'm gonna keep them though because they are 100% better lights than the OE ones even with uprated loom. I'd just like to find a solution to get the rings going again.

    VR Oil cooler leak

Ok, I think I should be able to handle this job so I'm gonna have a go at it :) couple of quick questions for those that have done this before. Does anyone know if it's best to loosen the bolt from the top or is it better to take of the cover at the bottom & get at it from there? also what size of spanner do we need.

Apparently not from what I've read... better have a tray handy just un case :)
  4. That 'City North Hotel' seems to be a good venue for a meet up, its just off Junction 7 on the M1. Looks like the Octane guys will be there on Sunday August 1st. I was thinking that maybe we could call there either before or after the RR, that would make a good day of it. But now I'm realising we'll prob not get a RR test on a Sunday :(
  5. Thats a lot cheaper than I thought... to good to miss at that price. I'm up for that anyway, kill two birds and all that
  6. Looking good guys :) White is a very popular colour these days for new cars, good to see the Corrado can still cut it I think you need to attend shows of some sort, makes you go that little bit extra :)
  7. Guess what, I had the clutch replaced about 10k ago. Not to worry, I'll just keep the parts until I need them. I'll soon have enough extra raddo parts to build another car :)
  8. Not sure if it was for sale on just on show. I suppose everything has a price... We can put the meet back until August sometime if you like
  9. I forgot... the largest VW dealer in Ireland is Issac Agnew, they're based in Belfast & last year they had a Red G60 in their showroom. Think it belonged to the bosses son so I'm sure they'll be more than helpful to you :) Numbers building up :D
  10. Ok guys, very interesting thread After reading I've ordered these MK4 parts from Dealer, numbers courtesy of Kev Upper tensioner pad - 021109509E - €11.50 Tensioner bolt - 021109507B - €36 I'd spoken to my mechanic before about changing the VR chains & he didn't sound that enthusiastic about it, although he's well capable. I spoke to him today again & told him all he has to do is remove the rocker cover etc. (courtest Toad) and replace these parts. I've also asked him to check everything else when he's in there. I was worried about the chains on my car because it has 97k on it & I was dreading the 100k cos I always told myself I'd change the chains etc at that time. After reading this thread I'm not so worried about them now thanks to andy & craig. So thanks to you all for contributing :D

    VR Oil cooler leak

Is this the oil cooler bolt I need to loosen? How come there's two seals needed? Sorry if I sound a bit thick
  13. This is a great thread... easy to browse through & some great looking shots guys Neil, are those 16" speedlines?
  14. Good stuff, as aide said maybe we'll just keep bumping this thread :D
  15. I know whats its like trying to get them ready to go. I've been waiting 4 weeks on a set of front wheel adapters :brickwall: That'll do.. we'll aim for Saturday 31st July (hopefully 2010 :) )
  16. I think the wheels are 8) Just stick on some spacers to fill the arches & widen the stance, you might have to raise her a bit though to stop any rubbing issues
  17. Ok so you can set the date then aide :)
  18. Ok, so just to get the ball rolling... what about some of the hotel car parks near the Airport. Either Belfast or Dublin Airports, doesn't matter to me :D

    VR Oil cooler leak

I think mine needs replaced as well, not sure though. There seems to be oil leaking from what looks like a 25mm bolt sitting at the front of the engine. I'm far from a mechanic :) Keep us posted here on your progress
  20. Looking good man, its all coming together nicely :)
  21. Fitted the back RHZW1's and lowered just a tad. waiting patiently for the front adapters to be ready :brickwall:
  22. All I need now is for someone to come up with a quick fix for repairing the sunroof :)
