meths wont be much good, I think turps is much the same as white spirit CHECK IT FIRST somewhere that won't be seen... don't take my word for it
-
Keep it! must be worth at least 2k

Use 'white spirits' (won't effect the paintwork) & elbow grease. Allow the white spirit to soak into the old tape & it will come off a bit at a time. You will have to reapply the white spirit after each rubbing Stick the strip back onto the car with a general purpose double sided tape

A lot of very subtle mods Amazing... looks better now, than ever

Taken from a post I copied a while back More influential on the braking will be the pads you choose. It's tempting to pick sports/semi trackday pads but these can often need warming up before they start to work properly, meaning that you could find yourself with *less* braking capability when driving around town - not good! Stock VW pads are fine as they have plenty of bite, but you'll find something like Pagid fast road pads are very similar in feel, but cost a lot less than VW ones. I used to run a Zimmerman/Pagid combination on my VR6 which was fine, including trackday use. You can get that stuff at German & Swedish for something like £32ea for front discs and £26 for a pair of pads. Make sure the pads are 14mm, not 19mm ones as the G&S computer sometimes recommends the wrong ones for a Corrado and the 19's won't fit.

Typical eh!

That looks a good site, cheers 8)

Yeah... I don't think there ever was any .29 VRG. I was looking for that a while back I'd go for the 'G6 OSF' as well
-
Where are they advertised?

And I thought I was dedicated... not exactly the warmest job to be doing in those weather conditions either. Looks great... respect!

Good decision reaper1_3, I design & apply graphics for rally cars etc. but I wouldn't dream of putting anything on mine...

Good memory Joe... heres the link http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... indicators

I remember there was a guy from America who made clear front fogs & indicators for the c. I thought they were good quality but they looked a bit out of place on the C (because they were too clear in comparison to the C's headlights). He put up pics & prices on here but, didn't get much positive feedback with them at the time. IIRC they would match those angel eyes headlights very well. I tried a search for his post but no joy... anyone remember?

Usefull tip there

The full red ones are only available from Carlsberg
-
Yeah, I can't see them either :?

Lively debate going on here then... just read through the thread

I think it looks good... the only thing that looks like a C though, is the back lights :)

Just off the top of my head... Replace all suspension bushings with OEM ones  Fit some kind of soundproofing (Recommendations welcome) Complete re-trim in black leather 8) Fix an oil leak somewhere around the gearbox :indiff: Fix the sunroof  I'll probably add to the list as the C is now locked away for the winter.

Got the performance mods, but where is the performance?!
dan replied to Jimbob1970's topic in Archive
Don't know about that Joe... I used it on my VR & it just clogged my ISV (among other things). I wouldn't recommend it -
Just a note for further reference... 304 grade (aka Food Grade) stainless steel is the most common grade available these days & will discolour outdoor. The premiun stainless steel to look out for is 316 grade...
