Ah ok. Doubt its the rollers as i bought and fitted a new set in the group buy a year or so ago and greased them when fitting. Hopefully get a chance to have a look some time this week.

This weekend the passenger side window started a making a weird sound when opening or closing. It still goes up and down fine but doesn't sound too good. Haven't had a chance to take the door card off and see whats causing it but whats the most likely issue? Window regulator or the motor? And can you still get these new? Thanks

Something rubbing on full lock (only when turning right)

This sounds good. Is the Chieveley services the one near Reading? -
Well i managed to get it for £700 with prestigekeepmoving. Spoke to my current insurer and when i told them the quote i got from prestige they tried to match it. They then told me that last year there was a "weighting" on my premium (due to claim). Miraculously they were able to remove the so called weighting to try and match the price prestige offered and came back with a quote of £720. So not as bad as i initially thought BUT i really do hope the government starts to regulate the insurance industry as currently it seems they can do what they like.

My renewal has come through and its only £10 cheaper than last year (£832). I did a confussed.com quote and they came back around the same price. I've just checked go compare and they have come up with better quotes (cheapest £630). Thing is some of the companies quoting are on both websites but more expensive on confussed.com. How does that work? Also have other people that have claimed in the past experienced a big hike in insurance or was i just unlucky? Surely having an accident doesn't mean your more risky than someone who hasn't, does it?

Anyone got one in dragon green?

I haven't changed anything recently so guess slave cylinder is the culprit. So where is the slave cylinder located?

Noticed over the last couple of days, when i release the clutch pedal that it doesn't come up "smoothly". Its only right at the bottom that it happens. I've had it on other cars but they were clutch cable related. Did a search on here and it sounds like the clutch slave/master cylinder. Does this sound about right? And how can i check if this is the case? I've had the clutch replaced about a year ago so don't think its that. Thanks

This reminds me i need to fit mine. Is it just a case of taking the old ones out and putting new ones on? Worth replacing the bolts/screws? ---------- Post added at 11:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:27 PM ---------- This reminds me i need to fit mine. Door Pin surround - little round plastic surround for door knob

Don't quote me on it but i think i read somewhere that classic parts supply them. -
Yeh i agree looks good and also the extra light it lets into the cabin definitely more than makes up for it. But i think i might need to adjust mine to lower it. Hopefully reduce wind noise as its pretty bad with the slider open. ---------- Post added at 10:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:32 PM ---------- Yeh i agree looks good and also the extra light it lets into the cabin definitely more than makes up for it. Looks good. Have you noticed any extra wind noise in the cabin? Especially when the sliding panel is open?

Second the Jetex exhaust. Make sure you go for the 3 box system as opposed to the 2 box as its quieter.

Thanks. Looks like the Nilfisk Centennial is a good buy.

Looking to pick one up this weekend. Anyone got any recommendations?

Ill take a set too please. VR6 and NO EMBLEM. Thanks -
Quick question (sorry to hijack the thread) but i fitted my trim back the other day and the handbrake lever keeps catching on the inner tunnel. I did try to position before fitting but it seems as though my handbrake lever is actually slightly slanted towards the drivers side :-( Any ideas what i've done wrong?
-
How can i check that? Just running a voltmeter on the battery?

I've had a mac book pro for 3 years now and its never let me down, hasn't got slower (not that i can tell) and i hardly ever shut it down (just close the lid). Plus it survived in the back of the car i wrote off last year so is obviously well made. IMO it is worth the extra ££'s as it just works. Before this i had a toshiba that i had to keep formatting every 6 months or so as it got so slow.
