Ahh well atleast you dont have to mess about with keeping a hex head fitment in your front ash tray then but its a damn shame about those wheels i hate it when stuff like this goes wrong its gutting when your all exited about somEthing new and you find out they dont fit , i did it with some six pot brembos paid 400 quid for them and they wouldnt fit behind my brock's :(

I sure did iv just been out on some local b roads and the difference is very noticalble now its all the right way !! Very enjoyable especially when the cabin shakes at 4000rmp lol

Right to end this thread and avoid any confusement for anyone who reads this in the future iv been out and had a look and it was the wrong way round As said without instructions on how it comes apart the end with the reducer that looked to be in a fixed place and glued on ( wich it was ) had been glued on to the engine side !! So it was all to cok the logos wer upside down the filter the wrong way and the reducer glued to the wrong end I gently prized the reducer of the endine side and didnt bother re fitting it as it just makes a smaller intake hole at the intake side , span the filter round and fitted the logos the right way Now its the right way filter and all And this was the part glued to the wrong end I feel better now haha cheers

I might of have been a bit exited lol tbh tho i did have a look at it but didnt notice anything maybe i just missed it oh well will sort it today and give the filter a clean while im at it

Ahh i didnt think of that iv never had a bmc before so would never of guessed that it could be put together wrong it was annoying me that it was all upside down aswell and without any instructions with it didnt think of that Ill wip it off today and spin it round ohh and cheers for helping the class dummy haha :)

Right this sounds daft as **** but its winding me up !! I got a bmc cda , its the 85 150 wich is the correct one for the car Now it didnt have the instructions with it when it came and i followed some advice from on here about what size silicone adaptor to get wich was 100mm by 83 mm wide wich is correct fir one end of the filter Wats annoying me is ........ Is the main filter pointing the right way , all the logos are pointing the wrong way in the engine (upside down) and its got me wondering if its the correct way round , i googled some pics of fitments to other cars and all their righting ,logos , are facing the correct way Someone tell me its right or have i been a dumb arse and fitted it the wrong way Where it says cda is the end in wich id need a reducer pipe if i have got it wrong I know this is "school boy " but its annoying the **** out of me ---------- Post added at 12:45 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:20 AM ---------- I googled this wich is the same engine ! But the other way round with cda at the top ! Wich is confusing me and i want to do a little cry about it

Looks snazzy under there chris i must do this to mine when i get chance ! Did you wax the arches once you wer done ? Also what was the make of that wax you do your plastics with my collonite turned them white lol wich i thought would happen !! Im back on the mend now so could poss pop over some time to have a chat maybe before elescar

Not to sound harsh but couldnt you just measure the arch gap then set it from there ? If you need to make small adjustments you can just jak it up again and tweak it till its sat exactly how you want it

You could probs get them blasted for around 100 quid so long as your not wanting any part of them chrome, then you could just primer flat and paint , i only took the pips off when i flatted mine and after paint and a good layer of laquer they came out fine Im not sure lots of primer is good anyway as after time it sinks so you wouldnt have much flatting to do , also de-pippng them doesent take long at all its only a light rub over with 2500 grit

I really like those wheels mate , there very well priced aswell unlike some wheels that see mega bucks these are great value and a nice design , you need to get some pics up of them all fitted , i would go for 195 tho bud they will look spot on By the looks of it those bolts are gonna need a special socket ! Maybe take a bolt to halfrauds and get a match

Personally id go for 195 theres hardly anything in it but the 195 gives a slightly less buldgy look still no stretch really if you wanted to see what they look like on 7j theres some pics on my build thread thing that might help Cheaper too !! 205 s are more expensive for some reason

Cheers phil yea it needed it the old filter , the mesh had gone rusty so was deffo in need of a change and it fills the cave like gap removing the airbox leaves behind and smartens things up a bit Phil are you heading down to elescar again this year ??

Mcdaddy looks like you got a bargain then im suprised it was a bad fit it wasnt a problem on mine but i do think rados are known for having bad aftermarket systems that rub and bang Bit of an update again not alot but got the bmc cda of ebay and a piece of silicone hose from ash silicone hoses Fitted it today and made a small bracket that holds on the the belt tensioner to hold it secure Sounds great and feels alot smoother than when i had the old cone filter on The only thing i dont like about it is that the writing faces the wrong way !! Its all upside down ! I thought it was me fitting it wrong but seems it is the right way round

Try venom motorsport mate they have sum in i think , easy enough job just make sure you get the right length one as im sire there is a long cat and a short type i could be wrong tho

Iv got a mr incredible suit in my bedroom somewer its got all the fake muscles and stuff and an eye mask thing id be willing to part with it for not alot Pm me if you like its not perfect but i dont suppose it needs to be in a rave lol

Seems after posting on this topic and taking wendys advice and very gently wearing in the tyres for 250 miles they have now come in to there own and are now amazing especially in the wet they just dont let go
