Trimsport Aluminium Billet & Carbon Fibre Parts Request Thread
sexybourbon replied to G60MAT's topic in Suppliers Forum
Would the inside be able to be made smooth aswell ? I think a vr6 engine cover would be cool aswell and a carbon handbrake instead of a plastic or leather one to go with a carbon gear stick wich someone else mentioned earlier -
Trimsport Aluminium Billet & Carbon Fibre Parts Request Thread
sexybourbon replied to G60MAT's topic in Suppliers Forum
Ill second dudevr6 on what he has said , and a carbon fiber intake pipe would top a bmc off nicely if you ask me and cant be hard to do surely , also front wings out of fiberglass or carbon would be good carbon would be expensive , top rad hose, and scuttle panel would be good selllers -
Would live to supercharge but the fuel scares me , love the look of this rado its really nice hope the conversion goes sweet , wen its done get some vids up
-
Yea deffo mate ill be camping , wen i get back of holiday ill ask my boss about wat work is in an find out more Deffo have a catch up mate i was planning on doing the track day but missed out in subscribing and registering for it Ill wait to hear from you mate
-
Welcome along , any idea what power it's running I'm still pondering a mk2 golf 1.8 t I can get my hands in , wouldn't I'm d another weekend pocket rocket with abouth 300 bhp Get some pics up
-
Hey mate never realised you had replied , deffo up for a convoy if we can that would be good , im supposed to be setting off a bit later with chrisl of here depending on the time i get back from work and i think his daugter is leaving school that day so he could be late but we will see id ratjer not get there late but not sure on wat position i will be in on the day , your barnsley area arent you ? Will probs be heading down m62 m18 m1 then coming off round birmingham on tue m42 i think , wich way you thinking of going ? Or just following the sat nav If you havent all ready done your fuel filter before you take the lines off nip the fuel lines with a tie wrap would save you getting covered in 99 ron and smelling lol
-
I see what you mean , id probably just get a few stainless bends to make up a piece of straight through pipe to replace the back box , i rekon it would sound good as long as you kept the exit pipe two and a quarter inch and not like a bean can I thought the same with where it exits tbh , if its ever going to be side exit you would need to plastic weld the hole in the back bumper , it would look odd with just a hole and no exhaust If you do it sling a vid up so we can see what it sounds like with just a cat and suitcase box and no rear silencer
-
Your right in thinking its not mega loud when cruising , full chat is a bit different , at the moment im running a de cat and suitcase delete and its not to loud until you give it some , iv got an old back box i was gonna mess around with so its just a straight through pipe from the manifold , the only thing i was worried about is loosing any back pressure as im not sure if removing stuff just free's up flow or makes it worse , my catalystic convertor takes about 20 mins to swap on the drive with the help of some heavily greased bolts that connect to the mani and a stainless sleeve clamp Ill try get some vids up when im off holiday , as forwhere the exhaust exits im not sure it matters , was you thinking side exit ?? I dont drive mine everyday so all that full chat noise and pops and bangs makes it a laught to drive

Im in portugal at the moment but want to sign up wen im back and attent on the weekend will this be ok aslong as iv paid my ccgb fee before the day

Its been done to death but if i had some cash and a car worthy of a project id go down the twenty valve turbo route been you have a valver , its never going to be fast so transplanting a nice turbo motor in there would be a good choice After that the brakes would need doing and then a nice set of wheels and some good tyres to put the power down and to stop Im a sukker for speed , theres nothing better than scaring your self to death on some b roads but if your a show pony you could always go for a nice fresh coat of paint and some standard wheels and a nice leather interior and have a nit more of an oem show car , i know wich one i would choose lol
-
That is a valid point , is that stuff your on about like a grey soft spongy finish that doesent feel like it completely goes off , i font suppose it would take long to blast the arshes off and coat them with that stuff

considering trading the corrado in for a golf vr6
sexybourbon replied to happyeaster's topic in General Car Chat
Ehh ! Corrado vr6 ! More power than a golf vr6 win win -
Sod the noise kev the more the better lol
-
My vr didnt come with any and iv never had any problems , only thing is if you go on the motor way alot then you get a bit of road spray and belt spray on the underneath if the bonnet at the air box side My wings havent rusted at all and dont look like they are going to but i suppose it could happen
