im not 100% sure but i believe the crossflow head is pretty much the same as the regular 8v on G60s.. except that the intake is on the front. so this would mean that as far as flow goes... a well-ported crossflow won't *outflow* a well-ported PG 8v head... they should be about dead even. i see two benefits to the crossflow head... one, the intake is on the front and this keeps the hot exhaust from heatsoaking the intake too bad... so the crossflow should provide a slightly cooler charge and two.. the intake is on the front so the intake path is shorter, faster boost build. problem? like darren mentioned.. there is no VW/audi intake manifold that will clear the supercharger (thats why the crossflow seems to be more popular with turbo applications) and a custom manifold will have to be made up to work with the supercharger. i've thought about this conversion a LOT and i think it would make more sense to go all the way to a 16v or 20v head if you're going to go through the trouble of fabbing a custom intake manifold. of course i've never done any of these conversions so this is all research/speculation.

it wouldnt have anything to do with the carbon cannister lines henny. if the ecu line isnt exactly 1m it will make the car run rough/slow.. or if the line is mushy and letting out a little vacuum when hard on the throttle. USOPHUNKE: dont cut it down... it needs to be exactly 1m, 100cm.. not 30cm! if you've cut the line down then this is probably the problem. if i were you i'd check/replace that 1m ecu line.. check the plugs and make sure they are the proper ones provided by the stealer ($$$) or if not then they need to be PROPERLY GAPPED. this will definitely cause running problems... i believe the gap is .24. replace fuel filter.. easy cheap 5 minute job and its not a regular VW service item so who knows when it was last done.. cap it off with a bottle of injector cleaner and see if that sorts it. :thumbleft:

..oh, and i also have the brake lights setup so i have 5 brake lights when i hit the brakes... and then it goes back to two lights when off the brakes. use the fog light sockets for 3rd and 4th brake lights and so then the standard 3rd one becomes a 5th.
-
dubboy... exactly, i agree. gotta do something to make the car a little different! skye... ya they are required by law here and all cars now come with 3rd brake lights. i said i'm shaving it off... not that i'm not going to HAVE a third brake light... hidden in the hatch behind the glass.. a big long red LED one 8)

you wont lose any boost through that pipe as it is before the charger.. if anything.. i'd be worried about those holes allowing unfiltered air into the charger.

i'm a shavin mine offa there! haha... you guys want US spec.. we want euro spec
-
glader cuz of its shape... G shape. no different models other than... G40 and G60. G40s in polos G60s in corrados, golfs, passats. 40mm spacing between something and something else in the G40 and 60mm spacing in the G60... so its bigger.
-
ya, i'll help. stick with corrado euro lights or buy an e36. :)
-
over here.. mazda MX3, hyundai elantra, bug drop top and regular, firefly.. im sure more will come to me!
-
like they said... plugs? are they new.. if not did you pop em out and look at em? did you replace em with the proper plugs from the stealer... and if not did you properly gap whatever cheapies you put in? fuel system... replace filter.. .check pump is working.. run some injector cleaner.

gotta sell off the mods and sell the car stock if you want to get back as much as possible.. you wont get much extra cash on the sale price for mods.
-
too damn much.... :x
-
slammed is 80+mm son ;) you shouldnt need any arch mods if you get the right offset.. if anything you may have to cut/remove plastic wheel liners.
-
..not saying that that £5 chip is an awful idea.. i mean if you're up for the 'excitment' of not knowing what the crap the ECU in your car is doing... but to me it would be more worry than excitment so i'd just rather buy something i'm sure of.
-
i picked up a stage 3 and a stage 5-5 for around $200 cdn for both..
-
calibra eh? don't have those over here...john must have had em shipped over that sneaky...
-
a) get a boost gauge. b) don't worry. c) check for vacuum leaks, boost tube leaks, isv for leaks, intercooler for leaks, etc etc.
-
there has to be a way to find out...sure whoever can burn chips can also read them.. but with SNS cutting chips for so cheap why bother messing around with something that could blow your motor just to save a little green? ..err i mean a few quid.
-
putting a chip with an unknown map in a G60? ..more like can't go *right*. :?
-
smooth and low. couldnt agree more chis! lookin good. that pic still has the side trim though!! what side skirts are those? same as the one's on john from BBM's car.
-
ive got the zender one.. starting to think even that isnt subtle enough.. gonna take that off and stick with stock only when i get the repaint. you can pull the wiper arm and stick a little rubber plug in the hole now that your paintwork has already been done. you have a dark car so no one would notice except if theyre standing on top the car. my friend did this on his dark red 240 and you can hardly notice it.
-
i got mine open when the cable was disconnected by pushing on the release on the driver side (you are backwards there) towards the outside of the car with a long flathead... of course... i already had my grill off, it was in the paint shop.. so it wasn't that big a deal. good luck
-
a little over the top, but depends on what you're going for. i agree about shaving the rear wiper... but i agree about shaving anything  i would have had the shop roll the fenders out for a wider/meaner stance, looks like they knew what they were doing with the bodywork. wish i had that kind of money to put into my ride!! cheers
