If you can find one and want a logo on it let me know. I know someone who can screen-print anything onto virtually anything.

Traffic Cop Gets away with driving at 159mph
corradostorm replied to G60Jet's topic in General Car Chat
159 on a Motorway is, well, excessive, but, I agree the police do need to train and a track does not represent real life situations. The question really is, how fast is reasonable. At 159mph he would have covered 10 miles in 3 minutes 45 seconds. At 120 mph he would have covered the same 10 miles in 5 minutes. Whilst reponse time is important it is all relative. Is the extra risk worth saving 1 miniute 15 seconds for? I'm ashamed to admit this but I have often reduced my speed from 85 to 75 (yes i know its still speeding but be reasonable) because i've worked out that i'll add a couple of minutes to my journey but save a hand full in fuel (not to mention a more relaxing drive). -

Er.. . yes, of course. I've also got a private motorway, oviously.

Warped discs? I've the same on the VR. Most braking is off motorways so regular *incriminating post edit* - quite swift to 0 stops.

After the C.... what would you have?
corradostorm replied to biggerbigneil's topic in General Car Chat
If things go well this year the Corrado is being replaced with a Griffith 500 -
Just got the car back. Tried to charge £274 for the service but got them back down to £240. Spark plugs are £50+VAT! Just need to work thorough the list of 'suggested replacements', bushes etc..., nothing out of the ordinary thankfully.

New Corrado styling product. Opinions please.

I guess £69 isn't bad then if that includes postage. Don't fancy the Reiger one now i've looked at it. Kev's right. It looks a bit stuck one where as the one above looks OEM'ish. -

Yep, just checked that thread. They are very similar although these (above) appear to sit inside the window rubbers rather than over them. £30 vs £69. No brainer i guess. Does anyone know what the Reiger spoiler is made of? ABS or glassfibre? -
Are you sure that post isn't 3 days to late?

I'll compile a list of comments at the end of the week and see waht they say. Kept 'em coming. -
A business contact (not me this time) is concidering importing the following: Apparently they are ABS plastic and not fiberglass. They are just really after your opinions. If enough people like it then they will be sold for £69 or will arrange do a group buy for the CF. (At which point i'll close this thread and open a new one in the 'Parts for Sale'. Me, well, i'd like to see one on a car first.

Oh, and my storm badge is kept in my office draw!

Somebody has already started making copies. I think Crozin may have the details.

Yep, I've heard they are good! One of their spanner monkies is a J29 member so he often opens on sunday just for us 8)

Couple of points to wrap this thread up before the AGM. 1. Committee posts are decided by the club as a whole but extenuating circumstances, which will be explained in full at the AGM, have meant that certain positions/individuals have had to be removed in the interim. 2. The club has a defined policy. This was available at the last AGM. 3. The club has acknowledged that there have been problems with the website and electronic communication but, the postal address has not changed for a number of year and is stated in every sprinter. If any member has serious concerns my I suggest they are formalised in to a letter to the Chairman. 4. I think we have covered everything in the last 11 pages and therefore I would respectfully request we close this thread until the AGM. Regards Jamie.
