Does anyone on here own this? http://neilsunderland6726.fotopic.net/c279539.html No wonder you can't buy Storm badges from VW.

What other Ford VR6 parts fit straight to the VW engine? Did ford ever use the 2.9?
-
Might be worth trying the Clubgti forum as their more Golf orientated and might have a buying guide etc...

'Insurance Approved Body Repair Specialists'
corradostorm replied to Supercharged's topic in General Car Chat
There's a VW approved repair shop in Sudbury. Did a good job repainting the rear bumper after a shunt. -
Jay, if your concidering selling the Corrado then you can't be that much 'in love' with it. I'm in the same boat with my Storm. Like the car but should I sell before the miles pile on - i'm not 'attached' to the car the same way I was to my old Mk1 Golf. If you've always wanted the 911, and who wouldn't, go for it. p.s. Yours is at least! £8k if not more. After all, if you can advertise a Storm for £14k!, £8's a bargin for TT'd Rado.

The problem is that, as you say, no two RR's are the same and therefore there is no way to really compare like for like. 145 on one could easily be 151 on another. I agree that torque figure looks way off. Guess the only answer is the have everyone on the CF attend a RR day together. Now that would be a meet. In all truth, i'm not to bothered with the power figures as the car is still a dream to drive and thats all that matters.

I think thats a fair price. At least that's what i'll tell the insurance Co if anything ever happen to my car! :) - We need more adverts like this!!

The Witham RR is an engine builders so i guess the RR is good. One car we had on there last year showed about 10BHP more on the Stealth RR a few weeks later and i've heard that the Stealth RR may 'slightly'over state the BHP. For reference my standard 2.9 showed 194.5BHP but more importantly 145BHP at the wheels. Torque was 195.

Never had more than 106 (after a 1 1/2 hr stint at a constant 90mph) (i've a very long private road  )
-
For a Storm look alike. God thats cheap. I don't dare tell what mine cost :(
-
Not sure, I know there is a Storm there but no idea about the last Corrado. Would Karman have it?
-
Right, the problem appears to be because of my late spec monster truck suspension. Guess i'll 'have' to get coil-overs :)
-
The last 5 thing may be true but they didn't follow the Storms. As everyone now knows, the Storms are basically just an ordinary Corrado badged up in the UK. The chassis numbers are also in no specific order so there's no way of knowing what was the 'last' Storm without having all the cars recorded in one place which, so far as i'm aware, has never been done. Also, the last registered car is not necesary the last ever made. Now that would be a valuealbe Corrado!

It's the one that came with the car in the lovely VW tool kit type thing that included the wheel bolt cover remover tools etc...

Yesterday, after returning from E38 on Sunday with my new set of winter wheels (Standard VR6 Golf jobbies), I attempted to change them over. I've just found out that the Standard VW car jack does not raise the front enough for the Solitudes to clear the tarmac! Even more difficult was fitting the new wheels. After struggling with the front left side I gave up, replaced the Solitude and threw the Jack in the boot. Anyone else had this problem? Is a trolley jack the only answer?

:) I see you've found Jct29! Quite a few Mk2 VR6's now. Most have been around for at least 5 years. The weight ruins the drive though. You can now get MK2 R32's. (At inters 2004). More common to have a 20vt conversion these days.

Agree. How about a CCGB/Corrado-Forum combined meet? Ideally, before the weather turns!
-
Kev, the Storm only comes out at weekends! During the week we use the other half's Puma Thunder. (Yes, its true, we've a Thunder-Storm in the drive!!!!!)
-
Whereabouts are you working?? One of the accountants in Crown House, behind M&S.
-
You'll being seeing my Storm around Ipswich after the 20th. I've just started an new Job in town and i'll need to use the car for business every now and again (not to often i hope, got to keep the mileage low).
-
I don't understand why you need speakers when you've a VR under the bonnet!
-
Certainly a statement!
