hi guys, i need to know a bit about the corrados ecu. Does it have the following wires? ground wire live wire rpm wire speed wire injector pulse wire the reason im asking is i am thinking of fitting one of these wee gizmo's to add a back to the future style to the "C" Analog Display : The analog display can indicate speed, RPM, gas mileage, fuel consumption and injector opening percentage. Includes peak data memorization and allows the scale to adjust according to current driving conditions. Graph Display ; This screen provides a data-recording feature that allows the user can evaluate driving conditions and engine performance. The feature of composing the graph by assigning any available data to X and Y, enables unique and special analysis. Alarm Feature ; This allows the user to set a designated limit for each data. Will inform the user by sound and graph if any data passes the limit. Digital Display ; The bar graphs along with digital numbers indicate multiple data to simultaneously observe entire vehicle conditions. Trip Function ; This function provides five trip recorders that individually memorize the total driving distance, operation hours, fuel consumption and average gas mileage. This function can be used to manage vehicle maintenance, compare time and gas mileage between two different routes or managing driver information for long trips. Fish Function ; The fish function provides the opportunity to enjoy your driving experience in an entertaining way. Your driving technique, such as speed and gas mileage, changes the environment of the fish pond and affects the health of the tropical fish. Friction Loss Calculation ; Calculates the friction loss and graphically displays the percentage of lost horsepower compared to genuine horsepower. the system costs £150 and is on special at the moment on another cruise website.

wey hey my G60 is back to the wee beastie she is, big shout out to Steph at Caruth Autos for finding the throttle position switch was misaligned and was causing all my problems. although when i picked her up she had no power, phoned the garage and was told to phone back another time so popped the bonnet to have a look and found the boost pipe from the intercooler to throttle body was lying unconnected, cant believe they would leave the car like that let alone send it out.

Im with admiral, paying £930 a year, on a 1.8 G60, im only 23 with 4 yrs NCD

hi guys i spotted these on e-bay, dont know if its what you have been discussing but what do you think of them, was thinking of getting a set for the G60. dont know how easy it would be to wire up though. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... gory=36681
-
my g60 does that sometimes but most of the time it rises between gear changes.
-
ive got a free-flow custom exhaust and have the same problem, i was told by the guy who built the exhaust that the "tuneable" backboxes only have an adjustent on the tone eg deeper etc. dont know if thats the same thing but it may not solve the problem. *** Mod Edit - Please don't SHOUT your posts, it makes them hard to read! - Henny ***

so do i, but im waiting till the renewal date so i get the full year.

cheers, i think i might leave it.

right boys ive spotted this on e-bay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... egory=9889 just wondering if it would fit my 91 G60 and if it would, would there be any advantage to fiting it. for 20 quid it might be worth a shot but i only want it if it will fit/uprate the standard one. cheers Andy.

most vw engines are bulletproof, but the trick is to get a well serviced one and keep it well serviced. as for the superchargers my mate has a g40 with 118k on the clock all of which on the original charger, and has done the last 15k with a smaller pulley, he may be lucky but he swears that there aint really that much of a hasstle with them, my g60's charger went 15k or so ago and got replaced at a cost of 2050 quid. i think its rea\lly your luck and how you drive it.

the one i bought was a buzzer you connected into the interior light circut and the light switch, when you opened the door the buzzer would use the interior lights earth so if the light were on it would buzz if not it would stay quiet. but yes maplins should sell them, i got mine from motoring world ( dont know if you have them down south) but as i said if your having probs ill look and see what i can get for you from this end of the country Andy.

can i just buy a new hall sender? or is it new distributor time? would the VAG computer diagnose things like that? or is it really only sensors?
-

Where do I start???? My 91 g60 has developed a few interesting qualities over the past few months and I was wondering what if anything was causing it. I got a chip off struan (Scott corrado g60) and when I went to fit it discovered that there had already been a superchip fitted, I swapped them over anyways and noticed that the car seemed to pop bang and spit a lot more out of the exhaust which I felt wasnt too good so I swapped the chips back. When I did this the car seemed instantly to have lost power, and not long after it broke down. The first time it melted the coil - distributor lead, then a few days later the cap and rotor am packed in so I got a new ones fitted, but the car seemed to bog down in low revs and although it would run fine it would struggle in low revs then suddenly pick up and go, this has got progressively worse and last night coming home I was accelerating hard and about 6k revs the engine just cut out and wouldnt start again. I got out popped the bonnet and fiddled about with the dizzy cap and checked all the leads and it started again but was really struggling to pick up from low revs. The idle speed seems to be intermittent aswell, in the recent cold weather it ticks over at about 1500 rpm but if you blip the throttle it will settle to about 900-1000rpm but will rise to about 1500 then fall to 500 and it does this three times before settling at 1k rpm (always does this three times before settling down) Also the revs rise when I press the clutch to change gear, it is very annoying as it kinda drives itself and sometimes turning at low speeds it feels like you are fighting the engine to get the car to slow down. I know it should probably go on the vw computer but I really dont have the cash at the moment, vw told me they wanted £53 just to plug the car in before any diagnostic work is done. Do any of you have any ideas what the problem could be? The man from the AA told me the distributors on them are quite prone to going could it be this?? Im desperate to get my baby back to full strength so any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers Andy.
