I was thinking, holy shit could be me! Then I remembered I haven't ventured to bury in a fecking age!
-
Factory fit should be flush mounted to the door, fairly big switches. Dealer fit, not even sure if mine was done as I had a bung over the handle winder and then them mounted in the later rado place, but I've seen some with like a standout base from where the window winder would be if that makes sense :S I did manage to find the wiring diagram drawn ever so nicely by the person who installed my switches though, and it looks to be wired to an ignition live so I hope mines an easy move, as I have oem doors and switches and the aftermarket ones just hanging loose outta the doors as a temp measure!

I've got a friend whose gone all out on his, extends through the bulkhead, seam welded to the suspension turrets, same at the rear, full cross bracing etc. Don't think he'll have problems with stiffness! Also, I've heard rumours it's against the law to drive a car on a public road wearing a helmet?

You'd be looking at 200hp, as it'd then essentially be a Mondeo ST200 engine instead of the Mondeo ST24... If that makes sense :)
-
It's a well known mod done to the cougar, So I don't see why it shouldn't work for the Probe seeing as it's the same 2.5 Duratec V6. St200 cams are the ones you'll be wanting from the top of my head.

I feel your pain mate, we have a football problem outside my house. Nevermind the fact there are 2 empty pitches and a few fully open pieces of grassland they insist on playing outside our house, Police don't do anything without evidence so we've resorted to CCTV. My corrado ain't mint by any means, but I'll be fecked if I'll let them damage it more.

Mondeo ST24 engine from memory, so parts are fairly easily available, relatively easy to see decent power with some ST cams too, Also a Mazda MX6, Nice cars, not the best, but comfy enough cruisers.

That is the one, Also know as Direct Line/Churchill/Tesco/Mayday/Caravan Club/NatWest Assist/ and about umpteen different brands...
-
I doubt it, the ones from the focus are very wide at the base, I might still have a look mind, wouldn't mind heated, electrically adjustable seats in my car
-
I still have my ST170 Recaro seats knocking about from my focus... Wish they'd fit :(

I work for the 3rd largest breakdown company and I can say, Mayday/Caravan club breakdown Cover, and Santander Bank Account cover is probably 2 of the best levels of cover you can get. Oh and we cover flat tyres regardless of spares, and if you have an accident that hasn't involved damage with a third party.

I'd just jump started my mate then! Sounds about right! Wahey first spot! And it was on telly!
-
Fook me that might well have been me! Was it in the tent area by the bridge? We were pretty damn close to the track... Spent the weekend camping Got a wave off of Plato on his way in on saturday and sunday. Can see the rally track and the track is just a little past that.

Mine has this issue, looking throught the service history it was brought up in '98 on my car... as far as I know it was never fixed!
-
I've got all reds on mine, looks pretty sweet, confuses some people when you pop it in reverse though, but heyho! Might be looking at getting a set of standards for mine though, Mine are ghetto all reds though, just been done with tint spray and laquer from what I can gather,

New Milltek system just fitted...does it 'settle down'?
stretch. replied to sprinterVR6's topic in Engine Bay
Mines had a milltek since '02, and it does drone a little bit at motorway speeds but it's not any more noticeable than the wind noise in mine to be honest! And up to 4k it is pretty civilised, the noise you get when you're giving it some though :luvlove: Just need to sort out that bloody clattering noise from the waterpump/alt area thingy... -
Had one of these blitz past me on the m62 coming home from manchester on monday. They make a lovely noise! Would love to own one!
-
I resorted to opening my windows in the work car park yesterday to let some of the heat out, parked in the underground car park today... Hope it's cooler today! Got a garden to tend to...
-
Had a good chat with 2 blokes sat at some traffic lights, they said it sounded nice and asked if I'd give it some welly under the bridges for them, I just had to oblige! Had a few thumbs up from mk 1 and 2 Golfs, and one from a guy in a green J reg Audi Coupe thingy... Definitely the weather!
-
Got the thumbs up and a "mmmm that's a tasty car mate" from a bloke at the chiropractors when I went in for my insurance physical! Guy down the road from me told me if I want to sell it he has cash waiting... which is.... reassuring.

Well, looks like it's time to start hunting down a corrado/passat with factory fitted leccy stuff then... After stripping back a few wired in the doors it looks as though the majority of the wiring needs to be replaced as it's massively corroded throughout and pretty shabby stuff. Is there a car wiring diagram anywhere on ekta or similar for the car?
-
Hah damn... Any guides on fitting them?
-
thanks man, just had a look though and I could only find one for the mirrors? Was it in the wiki or on the forum? Thanks,
-
My early 'rado originally came with manual windows, and at some point in it's life had electric windows installed with late corrado window switches (I think...) These are pretty different plug wise to my early ones that I've just picked up in new doorcards so I'm wondering if anyone had the details of the pin outs for both of the switches? Thanks. these are my old switches

I had a full size sebring in mine... Looked like whichever wheel it was on experienced a hole in the cv boot!
