Interested in the exhaust mate, how much posted to pe1?

The vr takes a while to get going from my experience whilst the 1.8t has lots of torque low down. Although saying that the vr did seem to reach silly speeds quicker than my s3.
-
My s3 wasn't bad on fuel if you kept it off boost. I could get mid 30's on a run but it would drop quite dramatically to about 15ish when giving it the boot

I would go for a tidy b5 s4 for that money mate, it has an awesome engine!
-
I did it... I went from a vr6 storm straight to an early 210 s3. As people have said you will lose out on noise and and feel but dynamically the s3 was much better than the vr I had a fast road setup on mine with all the early suspension stuff and good coil overs and it did handle very well. HOWEVER I never really bonded with it like I did the rado, I never walked away from it and looked back... I never washed it fastidiously..... I never wanted to drive it just for the hell of it. For me that's why I only kept it for 6 months and am now back in corrado no 2!

Well shes on the road now! some new pics..

Damn mate, this **** ****es me right off and it's not even my car! God if that happened to me I would be seriously ****ed off. Really feel for you mate yours is such a nice rado as well...

Will look great on those, then you can raise it up abit and it won't look silly. Also you will preserve the sump!

Yes mate thats the plan! ---------- Post added at 6:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:29 PM ---------- D90s in silver with the full colour porsche crest slightly wider at the back? I always had those in mind, also the RH ZW1 with classic green centres I considered.

Good list! That engine was orininally from an OBD2 golf with an auto box so its probably thinking WTF is going on at the mo! I was always paranoid about the sunroof, never really used to slide it back only tilt it. If i kept the car my next plans were to tackle that rear arch, it was the only thing that really stood out for me. You planning on staying on the soitudes? No real plans for the valver just general tidy up and enjoy, i bought it so i could keep a bit of money back for something very nice in the future.

Its RHD mate...

Hi everyone, some of you may remember that I used to have a green storm a while back. After spending loads on it and replacing pretty much everything on it i did start to enjoy it! But then reality kicked me in the teeth and I had to sell it to buy a diesel a3.... Fortunately my circumstances changed for the better again and i soon shopped the a3 in for an S3 which i have been enjoying for a while. But after attending the corrado rolling road day at stealth and seeing all those cars again and meeting alot of good people from this forum whom id talked to on the forums but never met, kinda made me want one back! On top of the S3 not playingball that weekend it seemed like a sign.... So im soon to be back in a corrado! Not a VR this time but a 2.0 16v, I was amazed at how much you could get a tidy valver for these days and when Chris Peasgood (Cheesy on here) answered my post on facebook asking for a cheap runaround i hotfooted it down to him and we soon struck a deal on his nice valver! I will be picking it up in a couple of weeks and genuinely cant wait, i know it wont be as fast as the s3 or my old one but there is something about how the corrado feels right when you sit in it. So yeah thats my essay filling in the gaps since ive been gone, im sure Chris wont mind me posting a few pics up that I found on his build thread for it as well. When my computer starts to co-operate i will upload pics!

It did look good on the ETA BETAs but i think the Rotas suit it better.
-
I did thanks mate, was a good day still though. Even if i had to wait 4 hours for the RAC!
-
Yep they are, 18x9.5 all round.
-
Nope 5x100 :-)
-
Got this a few months back and it was standard apart from some naff audio and the RSTT reps. How I bought it... Then I fitted some weitec coilies and some ETA BETA splits! And this is the stage i am at now. Facelift xenons and adjustable tie arms along with Rota grid drifts 18x9.5 all round. Also go a decent headunit! More colour coding is needed but its getting to be how i want it! Im sure some of you saw it at the stealth rolling road day, it was good to speak with you all!
