1. Hey Hasan, when I dropped in the octavia sunroof it was from a bog-standard estate and had a cream blind, I wonder if you've got a VRS one with the black headlining?
2. Haha yeah unidentified Clydeside Corrado seems likely, the wife has been using it as a daily. Can you message me a link to the Facebook post There’s a few nice ideas and wiring diagram etc in this thread; https://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5810263-DIY-Dual-Aluminum-Fan-Shroud-Setup-for-your-Corrado&amp=1
3. I think the opposite joining plug you need is from a Sharan. Not sure on the best way to wire them yet, I think you need to bridge the lives across the stages but don’t quote me on it. I’m guessing you want full power to the fans on all stages? Else you need to add a resistor. Are the brackets still available?

Has anyone got an 'E' suffix ABS ECU for sale? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
6. Hi Matt, Could you add me to the list for one switch please, ta. Mine has just broken :-( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

OBD2 VR6 fpr

The ecu can cope with 3 or 4 bar, but 3 bar seems smoother probably from longer injector timings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8. I got tired of crumbling adjusters and swapped to electric. Here's another alternative: https://phenixengineering.com/shop/corrado-slc-eurolight-lock-knobs/
9. If you can get +14V on ECU pin 48 @4000 rpm use that and ground. If not (or if you change to coilpack or OBD2) you will need an rpm controlled switch.
10. Nice one, glad you found it useful.
11. After a two week long bumpy road trip I had enough of carrying around an old trainer to try and prevent drinks spillages. Looking for solutions I found this; http://www.ttgallery.fotki.com/my-recent-whips/my-honda-s2000/modshack-cupholder-mod/img5233.html An S2000 owner had attached a Modshack TT cupholder to the seat base. Great, that would work in the C, but alas the cupholder ring is no longer available. So I intended to make my own as I have a spare RAM swivel mount, just need to make the ring. It then occurred to me to use the seat retaining bolt which would negate the use of the swivel mount, simplifying things greatly. I could just bolt on a p clip of the right diameter. At first I used an 80mm (stainless steel) p clip, later this was swapped to a 70mm for better fit. Bending both tabs in the vice and smoothing the curve. Pretty happy with the result, not too flimsy . Fixings here are M6 x 15mm high tensile socket cap and nut with a A2 wave (Din 137A) washer. The original dome nut for the end is retained (not pictured). Here it is fitted...(please excuse the road trip crumbs) And in use... It's a bit loose here due to the thickness of the footwell mat so I swapped it for a 70mm p clip. Much better. And when it's folded up its out of sight, you would know it was there. :-)
12. You can also fit non-GTI Lupo arms, fit perfectly cheap blades and can be had for pennies at the scrappy.
13. Received in good condition. Many thanks!
14. Hi, I'll take this please Dave. Can you pm your details. Ta.
15. Agree strongly with this! Re002 handle much better than soggy rain sports. I think they are dual compound so they get grippier as they wear. Currently £55 delivered (not fitted) From http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/car-tyres-205-50-15.html It's also worth going through topcasbback if you have it for an extra 3.15%.
16. After fitting the OBD2 loom the plan was to make an adapter to fit the original Corrado manifold with the bigger plenum. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?78649-OBD2-TB-gt-OBD1-manifold-adapter-plate I got as far as making the adapter before I compared the throttle cable route. Now it's attached to to underside of the throttle body making the angle of the bracket wrong. Corrado Obd2 It would be possible to drill and tap the manifold for the cable guide to fit, but the isv port also needs blocking and trimming down. That as far as I've got and it's been put on hold as I've had the offer of a VR Syncro manifold. This has the larger plenum, same as the Corrado, but used the OBD2 throttle body pattern. It was in reasonable good shape save for some dirt and corrosion, but I do like shinny things so... After protecting the machined surfaces with petroleum jelly. I gave it a dousing with my new favourite household chemical. This stuff is 81% phosphoric acid and corrosive. "Don't try this at home kids!" The phosphoric acid reacts with the aluminium oxide an aluminium phosphate smut which needs rinsing away. See http://www.phosphatesfacts.org/pdfs/PhosphatesMetalFinishing.pdf After a few cycles all it needs is a scrub with a stainless steel scourer it's as new! I forgot to take any after photos except for the underside, if anyone wants the part number. I guess the big question is if it's worth it, I had hoped to get a couple of dyno runs to asses the difference as I don't think anyone has compared back to back. Unfortunately that couldn't happen but my butt dyno says it's goes better and sounds better even the wife noticed (without knowing I swapped the manifolds.) Edit: Topside
17. What not to buy... Instead of The four round locating pins really make a difference.
18. Is that into the dash speaker mounting? I've never had them apart. Could you mount a full range speaker in the space as a direct replacement?
19. If you get stuck. The Corrado 2 bolt alternator figment is a common a lot of newer VWs even some other makes. I think mine came off Lupo. Just swap the pulley and the exciter wire plug as required. I was going to drop in a 180a passat item but the 70a Lupo item does for my needs.
20. I tried a set of cheap eBay ones, wide angle blue tint and they were awful. One mirror had a distortion line through it. The backing plates didn't have the 4 locating pins like the originals and kept falling off. On the originals the backing plate also has a surround for the mirror edge, much better. I don't know how the DDI ones compare. Would like to know if they are any good?
