At least the first one will be nice and warm for those winter runs.

For anyone interested in the current price (Aug 13) for the parts to convert the base plate on a mk4 02J to the Polo setup, the prices are:6n0 711 061 a – housing £50.51
6n0 711 090 a - base plate £7.38
6n0 711 611 c - selector arm £8.15
All prices plus VAT from TPS and take a week or so to arrive from Germany
Thanks for the info, that's just what I need for my o2s setup.

It's almost MOT time. My ABS is not working and I've no interest in spending money on replacing the pump, so I would like to change the ABS light for an LED timer circuit which gives the impression of the ABS light coming on and going out again so the MOT tester will pass the car.Has anyone built such a circuit? Has anyone bought one? Any advice?
Cheers.
Thought about this when mine packed up. I know when (if) it works you can hear the system clunk and feel movement in the pedal. Would an Mot tester notice or care? I doubt it.
Something like an aftermarket interior light timer would probably work ok but would have to have a short delay.
In the end I tried another ABS ecu and it solved my problems.

95% of the threads I attempt to view on here using tapatalk displays the following page, as such I've been hardly able use the forum.

Ron
What size did you use and did it work ok?

Have the wires been disconnected from the plugs?
If not it should be quite easy as the plugs will only fit in the appropriate sockets, here's a some good info to get you started;
http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html
You will have a few wires left over as there's some additional wiring on Corrados. Best have a go and see what you are left with.

Hi Neil, do you have the tyre size and offset for these?
-
I went for standard front bushes (don't have the P/N) and R32/TT rear bushes P/N 8N0407182A

Sweet!
Wish I had a reason to have a T on mine!

My dad is having an extension done to his house but we also want to relocate and rewire some new phone and Ethernet sockets. I've picked up some wiring circuits and it looks like they are wired in series from the master socket. Is this correct or should all the sockets wire into the master in parallel?Series is fine.
Also, I assume they should be far from the power cables (perpendicular, I was advised)?Chasing the walls is not a problem.
100mm separation will be ok if they are running parallel but perpendicular is best if they cross over.
Also, if we want to have a central router and link the Ethernet sockets, how would this be done?
thanks in advance.
You can't just daisy chain them, you will need a network switch at each point you want to continue. At a push you can use a pc with two Ethernet ports and share the connection, but it would have to be switched on whenever you wanted to use the next connection point.
Hope this helps.

Have a look in here;
Volkswagen Engine Management ECU`s

Yours in Bosch Motronic 2.91, at the very least you will need a Motronic 2.91 ecu, I'm unsure of any wiring differences.

Have you bled the chain tensioner bolt? It may have air in it after rebuild and especially after oil starvation. After bleeding, I would take the rocker cover off and turn it over by hand to see how the chain tension is.

Looks good, what's the bore size, and how loud is it?

There's a good discussion of the pros and cons here;

VW Motorsports VSR VWMJ 002.Wow, thats a beauty.
I'm not sure but if that's the serial number you have no.2 of 500. Special indeed!

I think it's odd size, 80mm but you should find a 79mm hose will fit.
-
Yeah! That's the one.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah..... please :)Is a b5 Passat the handbrake the same as a mk4 as I have one in the garage
No probs, ill get round to it it's been 3 years since I did it,so ill have to have another look at it.
The b5 passat handbrake has a different shape, which might suit the Corrado tunnel better if its not too long, worth a try?

From what I can gather, relay 53 is a standard relay and could control a multitude of things,I'll have a look at the wiring diagram and see if I can trace those colour wires

Looks like it could be
J208, (HO2S) heated oxygen sensor control module, which supplies voltage to G39 HO2S heated oxygen sensor, when the engine control module power relay is energised
red/yellow wire supplied from fuse 18, to confirm check voltage(to earth/chassis) at R/Y wire with ignition on, (12Volts), then remove fuse 18 and test again, should be 0Volts
Steve
When I did my 24v wiring, that was for the lambdas/Heated o2 sensor.Thanks!
It's my Lamba that isn't working.

Dunno to be honest, really want the heat shield, probably can get clips from dealer.Sorry, missed that bit.

I think you need to put a price on these.

I never got around to test fitting the adaptor as I've been rather ill. It's next on the list though, hopefully within a couple of months.
