  1. Is it bad forum etiquette to ask another question without waiting for an answer to a previous question? If it is then forget the previous questions and somebody please tell me where the hell this little fella goes? It's in the loom coming from the engine bay along with G1 G2 etc
  2. I'll have one in the shed if my VR had one fitted when I removed it lol Can have a look tomorrow
  3. I'd put them up for sale on Edition for £750 including the adapters mate, nice wheels though shame they are so wide :/
  4. Thanks David, I'll look into that and see if that's part of the problem :) We did find a yellow and black wire in the loom going to the ECU that isn't connected inside the car, need to see if we can find out where it goes, will probably pull the fusebox out again to get a better look
  5. Cheers but no joy :( At the moment we can't get the fuel pump going, the wiring behind the fusebox is an absolute mess I don't know how anything ever worked lol Going to unplug everything and try again tomorrow!
  6. I've just totally forgot about everything else on purpose, I need to drive it before I get bored or it'll never get finished! Once it's on the road I can start replacing bits and bobs without loosing interest in a project that's going nowhere fast(literally lol) Good to hear the shifter is worth it, the gearchange on mine was shocking! Fingers crossed for the first startup today, just finished a nightshift so off to bed for a couple of hours before heading over to do a bit!
  7. I wouldn't mind having to grease them up every now and again, the car only did about 1200 miles between MOT's and was only off the road for a couple of months, so I don't think they'd need doing that often. Although I dare say i'll drive it a bit more once the 24v is done lol Got the manifold all bolted up but forgot about the rear bolt that is fixed to a bracket on the heatshield, which now won't line up, I was tempted to leave it but obviously its there for a reason so i'm probably going to have to unbolt it again! Pretty excited for Saturday, i'm on nights so i'll be finishing work at 7am getting a couple of hours sleep and then heading off to my mates to get the last few bits sorted. Need to connect up the fuel lines, fit the ECU and connect all of the fusebox back up. Once all that mess is out of the way I can see where the pedal is going to fit, which reminds me I forgot to order the pedal fixings from the dealer, I think they are getting sick of the sight of me now!
  8. Looks good on the spacers mate! I've got some 25's and 12's, can't put them on yet though because the rear beam needs moving over!
  9. You silly silly man!! Only joking mate, hope you don't regret it though lol
  10. Good to hear you are getting it sorted mate! Pics would be good, I use photobucket its easy enough to get to grips with :) Couple of queries i'm hoping you guys can shed some light on Lambda's, Which one is for which bank? From what i've looked at using part numbers etc the one with the brown plug is for the gearbox bank end(bank#2?). Is this correct? Alternator wiring, I'm using the 24v Alt, it has 2 pins, the 12v Alt only has 1 pin, is it as simple as just using pin #1 or does pin #2 need to be used also, if so where does it go to? I've read about this somewhere but can't find the info again! Speed sensor, My loom from SWICT has the mk4 style speedo sensor, i'm still using the VR box with 12v sensor, do I need to use the mk4 style speedo sensor or can I just swap connectors to the original 12v one?
  11. Is yours running now mate? Not seen any updates for a while!
  12. Yeah its getting there, looks like I might actually finish this one lmao! I was considering a charger until I came up with the mad rear mount turbo idea lol.
  13. Great progress mate, well done! I can't decide if its worth doing all of this to mine or if I should just buy a better base to start with!
  14. Awesome car for a very good price, Good luck with the sale and I hope it goes to a good home(Bill )
  15. Thanks Clumpy :) Not sure what i'm doing about the turbo yet, I really fancy one of the oil-less ones that Kev discovered, need to have an ebay sale and see what funds I can raise lol Well finally got the loom back after it taking 4 weeks instead of 1, had to wait until last weekend for some spare time to do a bit with the car though! Had to get a couple of holes drilled in the manifold as it had been used with a standalone single lambda management previously and just had the one in the decat pipe, got my dad to drill it at work then took it to my local friendly welder, Graham at K G Alloy Welding in Thornaby, if anyone needs any welding give him a ring on 07941 966858, he does a great job at an equally great price! Forgot I needed some heat wrap so had to go to motorscope and get some, didn't fancy trying to wrap the mani once it was in and fitted! Box of fluids and a few other bits from the guys at lookers Few pics of the manifold on, few of the bolts were a bit of a pain in the arse to get to but managed to get them all tightened up. Put the main loom back in loosely and cable tied it back up at the back, put the servo back in, then removed the servo and fitted it so it wasn't upside down. Bolted it all back in along with the clutch and brake cylinders, also removed the accelerator pedal, to make room for the DBW. My main assistant Ian was unavoidably absent due to his sons birthday party so getting the engine in was a little bit awkward but still easy enough Ray came over for a bit and had a look at the wiring, laid it out and routed it around the bay etc while I had a tidy up of tools and made room to move around the garage, really need to learn to tidy up as I go lol While he was doing that he noticed the connector for the speedo sensor is wrong, Audi one instead of the older style VR one so that needs sorting out! Started puttin the manifold back on but it looks like the alternator is going to have to come off to get at one of the bolts, might get in with a decent ball ended allen key but I didn't have one with me and the wife was starting to text to see how long I was going to be, I've learnt its sometimes better to just give in and have less earache so packed up and went home! How it sits at the minute Will be going over tomorrow to check a few things and make sure I don't need any other bits, all being well should get it fired up on Saturday! Bought a spare pair of BDB looms off ebay, just in case lol Random pic of the Polo shifter from underneath
  16. These are on a local forum, located in Teesside in the northeast, colour not to everyones tastes but would look nice on a corrado imo http://www.vagcars.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?15427-BBS-RX228-Alloys-Tyres-17-quot-TOYO-Tyres-205-40-R17-x-5
  17. Brand New roof rubber end cap 535853720 01C (obsolete?): £10 Brand New fuel filter bracket 535201505: £10 These 2 posted please :)
  18. I've not done anything with it yet Ron, should all be back in by end of play today but I won't be able to fire it up as I need a few connectors to splice the fuel lines together. I won't really be able to tell how much of an effect it's had lowering the engine but in theory it should work lol Will be back with an update at some point over the next couple of days :)
  19. Ah I see lol, lofty's by any chance?
